The living area in our O'Malley project previously had cabinets fitted against a partition wall separating it from the hallway. We replaced both the original wall and cabinets with custom joinery to maximise height and storage depth.

The challenge of this build was the hallway stairs that ran the full length of the room. The new joinery had to be fitted over the stairs to perform as both a new partition and a storage unit.

Our client wanted a creative, mixed-material palette for their O'Malley home inspired by mid-century design.

To bring that to life in the kitchen, we paired denim blue and kalamata cabinetry with warm timber and terrazzo stone. The same timber and reeded glass details in the dining area tie the two spaces together.

Functional joinery can make everyday life in the kitchen that much easier.

For this renovation, our client needed a space that could handle day-to-day routines just as easily as weekend entertaining. Clever inclusions like the pull-out appliance cabinet, integrated bar fridge, and a hands-free foot pedal to open the bin make prep a breeze while keeping the benches completely clear.

Our clients wanted a walk-in shower to replace the existing the shower-over-bath in their Duffy ensuite.

Terrazzo-style tile for the walls and floor guided the rest of the selections: gloss duck-egg blue subway tile in a stacked pattern for the shower wall, complemented by a warm fluted timber vanity and antique brass tapware.

In this multi-space renovation, we removed the original fireplace and shifted the new gas log fireplace to the adjacent wall. The custom curved blue buffet with a terrazzo top, along with the square-tiled wall, mirrors the finishes we used in the kitchen to tie the lounge right into the rest of the home's palette.

A video walkthrough of our mid-century inspired renovation in O'Malley.

Guided by our client's brief for a creative, mixed-material palette, we anchored the design in the kitchen using denim blue, kalamata, warm timber, and terrazzo. The same finishes feature in the adjoining spaces, including the reeded glass cabinets in the sitting area and the curved bench under the lounge fireplace.

Our artist client wanted a bold and bright combined bathroom and laundry to match the creative vibe of her inner North Canberra home. Embracing colour and pattern, she chose a checkerboard black and white tiled floor with blue kitkat tiles for the walls and Pillarbox red joinery in the laundry zone. A blue glass freestanding bathtub is the hero of the room.
