What a pretty sight. And the flower is gorgeous too, isn't it?😉

A quick and easy cleaning routine to keep your leather garden gloves in great condition and lasting longer.

All it takes is 5-10 minutes every month or so.

Why clean and condition?

- Dirt and grime wear out the surface and seams of your gloves over time
- Store and dry them out of direct sunlight and heat to prevent damage to the leather
- Rub in a leather balm or conditioner after cleaning to get essential oils back into the leather to keep it soft and stop it from cracking (same deal with your leather couch!)

Have I convinced you to give your leather garden gloves a clean? 😉

Leather gloves, especially unlined ones, are notorious for leeching its dye when wet.

Despite our best efforts, we're seeing this issue when our customer's hands are wet from sweating or the gloves are drenched when used in wet conditions.

The outcome is outlandishly reddish hands but the experience is less than ideal.

It's a total pain in the bum problem and one we're working really hard to solve with the tannery.

If you're seeing dye on your hands after using our gloves, rinsing the insides with tap water and drying it out with paper towel will soak up any lingering loose dye and nipping the problem over time.

If you're experiencing dye bleed with your V2, do let me know. I'm always collecting feedback and making notes to improve the build of the next versions of our garden gloves.

Sharing some recent customer reviews and feedback as we celebrate our wins but, more importantly, continue to learn where we need to do better.

We do love our 5-star reviews but any star is one star closer to achieving our mission of building garden gloves that hero durability, comfort and sustainability!

Btw, if you've bought a V2 or our glove care kit, do share how they've been working for you so far - you should get an email with a review link from us.

Help us celebrate wins and help other gardeners decide if the V2 is for them 😊

Thank you!

Don't let anyone tell you that your Foundation gloves aren't built for the tough garden jobs.

What are your top 2 must-haves for your gardening or garden glove? Do share!

I'm not going to promise you garden gloves that never break.

A few days ago, a V2 customer told me the index fingertip of her glove broke after 2 weeks of weeding and working on a community garden.

Gee that really stung, I'll be honest. Break-proof fingertips (well not quite, but you know what I mean) are the whole reason I built The Foundation gloves.

A replacement pair is in the post to her now and I did what I seem to do a lot of - ask heaps of question - so that I can learn from this.

If your Foundation gloves aren't holding up or you're not happy with them, let me know and I'll fix it.

These gloves are not designed to be perfect and I'll keep making them better with what you tell me.

The Foundation Garden Gloves + Glove Care Kit.

The idea for the care kit was planted when V1 just came out and a dear customer, Louise, suggested that having a leather care product would be a useful addition to the gloves.

After all, we were trying to encourage our customers to invest a little bit of time and effort to keep their gloves in good nick to make them last even longer.

So here we are. The Foundation Glove Care Kit. Saddle soap (to lift grime and dirt), leather balm (to soften and waterproof), soft brush (to dust off and to use with saddle soap) and finally, a beautiful calico drawstring pouch to keep everything in one spot.

Thank you Louise for planting that seed of an idea 🌱
