Been waiting for the sunshine to get these new slate seals sorted 🌞
New slate cut to fit properly as the old seals had around an inch gap either end. Installed new bricks, rendered it up, and sealed everything to make it fully watertight.
All finished and looking much better 👍💪

Small repair job started yesterday. Cracks and blown render around the quoins all sorted and made good. Just waiting for...

Job completed 💪
Sorry for the delay on the photos, it’s been a busy few weeks! The safety retaining wall is now all finished along with the sleeper retaining wall. Also finished off the area ready for the shed and washing line.
Really pleased with the final result on this one. Looking forward to doing more work for the client in the future.

Safety retaining wall going up for a driveway 🚧
Building regulations require this one to be a minimum of 1.1 metres high, so it’s being built properly and built to last. Rebar has been drilled 800mm down into the existing foundations and chemically anchored in place for maximum strength.
Hollow blocks will then be fully filled with concrete to create a solid, reinforced structure 💪

Today’s update on the retaining sleeper wall 💪
Had the scary job of moving the ducting so we’ve got more room for the sleepers and space for the slabs to go over and hide the cables.

“Today’s task was installing the sleepers so I can start backfilling with all the soil I’ve been digging out. The original sleepers that were put in a while ago were 10mm smaller, so they had to come down and be replaced so everything lines up and sits level on top. Hard day’s graft, but it’s finally starting to take shape now 💪🪵”

Another tough day digging holes for the upright supports on the retaining wall. Solid slate ground all the way, so the big guns are coming out tomorrow. Slow going, but it’s coming along nicely.
