TheFulcrum.Agency The Fulcrum Agency is a practice of architects, project managers and grant writers who support First Nations-led projects across Australia.

We use our skills to advance social justice in Australia across housing, infrastructure, and community planning. The Fulcrum Agency is a creative consultancy working alongside First Nations communities across Australia. We are experts in co-designing community masterplans, remote housing, and community infrastructure. We work to support First Nations self-determination and to deliver projects that strengthen community and enable cultural practice. Our arts centre project hit the road this week, bound for three Martu communities in the Western Desert.

The buildings- spaces for art practice, accommodation, and carports- have been designed to withstand the 1,200 km+ journey along (bumpy) remote roads.

Once pieced back together, they’ll provide much-needed space for local artists to gather, paint, yarn and enjoy a contemporary studio that supports arts practice and economic independence.

We can’t wait to see them in action!

We were in Nauiyu-Daly River this week, a community still recovering from major flooding earlier this year. Damage was everywhere, and most of the 350 residents are now living in temporary accommodation elsewhere. It was a privilege to be in community and to join the conversation about what the future might look like for Nauiyu.
