Blue skies and an absolutely gorgeous morning here at The Queanbeyan Market. I’ve had a wander, crumpet and coffee. So happy with my Market Haul today which I’ll try to share during the market on stories.

If you need a laugh, I’ve included just some of my ‘selfie fails’ ( yep…… this is not all of them 😂) I normally send screenshots of these to my family so if they are having a bad day, they can open their photos and at least smile ( or wet themselves laughing) at just how bad I am at selfies. Hope it gives you a giggle too.

This week’s new creations, I’ve made 20 new bud vases, more Tealight and LED lanterns, and Lapghans. I’ve made LED candles but still have to head off to the shop today to buy batteries and photograph them ‘lit’. They will be in a story later today so you can see just how gorgeous they actually are.

As we enter the busiest season, I thought I’d just pop a reminder that as I create our items and they are not mass produced, it’s not always possible to replicate designs and in some cases items. It’s important to note that it’s also the reason that no two items will be exactly the same.

I purchase napkins where ever I go. Sometimes I’ll see some I like at Woolies or the $2 shop etc. where they come in packs of 20. I can create a lot from 1 packet. Other napkins I buy individually from specialty crafting stores online. If I think they’ll be a popular design I’ll buy 5, maybe more, sometimes just the few that are left of them. I will always try to accommodate requests where possible.

The same goes for our items. I’m always on the lookout for clearance items, items that have been used once at weddings, I’ve also been gifted items to up cycle too. This also means that sometimes it’s just not possible to make more of something if I don’t have any left 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m also going to have certain designs, such as these in the photo, that will be available only at Simply Magick | Canberra | Canberra Witches |. When I post my new creations each week I’ll ensure if they are items for the store, that I mark them as such.

I haven’t made a ‘What’s new’ post since the middle of September 😬 Bits and pieces have appeared in stories but here is a recap of what we’ve been up to.

I’ve trialed a new paper type for some lanterns, one where you embrace and create ‘wrinkles’ opposed to my normal method of ensuring a seamless application. I love the look and most will be available in a special project I’ve been working on.

All knits seen here are special orders, there are a couple more I’ve completed but I know they have not been gifted yet, so will remain unseen here.

I’ve created lots of vases, large and bud size as part of the project I’m working on.

And I’ve moved my craft room 🥳 ….. well about 75% of it so far. I’m lucky to have had one, but it was the smallest room in our home and the walls were literally closing in on me 😬 One of my munchkins left the nest so I ‘upgraded’ and have taken over the room. Even though it’s not 100% complete yet ( I have artwork to move and hang and a cupboard full of supplies to move) having space to move, dry my creations etc. has really made a difference when I’m creating, I love it.

We’ve had a busy few weeks in general so there has not been time to create as much as I normally do. I’ve got a really busy market season from here out so you can expect to start seeing my weekly creation posts again.

I’ve been out to Uniquified Gifts this afternoon 😊
I’ve restocked, there are lots of new pots, new lanterns and we have uncovered some remaining Christmas stock.

You might think it’s too early for Christmas 🤔 But I love Christmas and it’s only 13 weeks away…… that’s not long!! Because the Christmas range I have in store is from last year, each Christmas piece is just $10! There are a couple of lanterns, pots, LED candles etc.

Everything I have in store with the exception of Nappy Caddy’s is $25 or less.

There are some new vendors in store, so if it’s been a while since your last visit, pop in, have a wander and support your local small business community.

It’s a beautiful day here at The Queanbeyan Market ‘Springfest’ market today. We are at the Showground again. There are over 100 stalls in attendance, the sun is out and it’s already warm. It is going to get a little gusty later so I have not put my gazebo up today, a different set up……. But I am here 🥰

Lots to see, plenty to eat, come spend your morning seeing what your local stallholders have to offer 😊
