Nestled just moments from the Dromana shoreline, this striking holiday house harmonises luxury and practicality, redefining modern coastal living. Envisioned as a sanctuary for family and friends, the brief was to create a holiday home that prioritises comfort, security and energy efficiency.

Kömmerling Australia windows were specifically chosen for the project, complementing the home’s contemporary design while delivering the performance, security and energy efficiency required for a comfortable coastal retreat. Their sleek profiles and considered design integrate seamlessly with the architecture, helping to connect the interiors with the surrounding landscape.

Step inside this Port Douglas Residence by Studio Gestalt Interior Design Sydney — a fresh, minimalist take on tropical living

Moving away from the traditional Balinese-inspired resort aesthetic often seen throughout the region, this extensive renovation embraces a fresh, minimalist approach. Clean architectural lines, a crisp white palette and natural materials create a sophisticated backdrop to the lush greenery surrounding the home.

At the centre of the design is the beautifully transformed pool, which has become the focal point for outdoor living and entertaining. Large openings and considered transitions create a seamless connection between the interiors and the tropical landscape, allowing the home to embrace its enviable coastal setting.

Agile Designer Homes have completed this stunning extension, thoughtfully integrating modern functionality with the character and charm of a classic period home. The carefully considered addition introduces a new kitchen, dining and living area, transforming the 1940s red-brick residence for contemporary family living.
Warmth and timeless appeal are created through a beautiful selection of recycled brick, Australian hardwood, Colorbond roofing and double-glazed timber joinery, seamlessly blending the old with the new.

The team at Naked Construction Co took this heritage fronted TV Store and turned it into a spacious town house in the heart of Fitzroy North. A double storey extension was added onto the building to allow for more space and a rooftop terrace area. The warm tone of the oak floors and stairs upon entering the building gives it a welcoming and inviting atmosphere that continues into the adjoining kitchen and living area. The kitchen features polished oak joinery and rosey Quartzite stone benchtops, found all the throughout the house.
On the second floor, the walls are lined with cupboards to create extra storage space in an otherwise tight town house. This floor features the master bedroom and ensuite, with floor to ceiling cabinetry and tiles in Japanese mosaic. Another bedroom, bathroom and study are decorated with neutral colours and lots of light with high line windows and raked ceilings.
Finally a third floor completes the townhouse with a roof-top mounted spotted-gum deck and powder coated balustrade, enabling unparalleled views of the Melbourne skyline
