⚓️ FROM MOWING LAWNS TO SERVING OUR COUNTRY! 🇦🇺

A bit of a proud dad moment here!

Many of our Blue Ridge clients will remember our eldest son Jack, who spent many years working alongside us in the family business.

Well, this week Jack officially graduated from the Royal Australian Navy! ⚓️🇦🇺

We couldn’t be prouder of the young man he’s become. He’s worked incredibly hard, pushed through the challenges of his training and persevered to get to where he is today.

In a few weeks, he’ll be heading north to Cairns for his very first posting, and we couldn’t be more excited for him as he starts this next chapter.

Now, just because he’s joined the Navy doesn’t mean he’s stopped telling his old man how to do things! 😂 Apparently, I still need lessons on how to mow a lawn and trim the edges properly!

You can take the boy out of Blue Ridge, but you’ll never take the mower man out of the boy! 🚜😂

Jack, Mum and I are incredibly proud of you. You’ve worked hard for this, mate, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes you.

🏁😂 THE UNSUNG HEROES OF BATHURST! 😂🏁

While everyone else is watching the cars, I’m sitting here watching these two absolute legends giving the lawn a fresh coat of paint! 🎨🌱

One bloke on the green, one bloke on the white, both making sure the Shannons logo looks Mickey Mouse for the big race! 🤣

Forget the drivers, these two deserve a podium finish! 🏆

As someone who’s spent a lifetime maintaining lawns, I’ve got to admire the dedication… although I’m starting to wonder why we’ve been bothering with fertiliser all these years! 😂

Give these two a b**r and a round of applause! 🍻👏

A great start to our Bathurst Weekend. Got to do a walk thru a few garages thanks to my lovely wife and watching some great racing and qualifying. Tomorrow is the top ten shoot out and then the big dance on Sunday. Sitting around the campfire now telling tall stories and watching the fireworks from all the campsites

Who loves lawn stripes? Anyone? 👀

Because we LOVE them. 😂

Mow the lawn, turn around, admire the stripes… then take 37 photos of the same patch of grass. Perfectly normal behaviour

Blackberries vs Blue Ridge 🌿💥

A great little vegetation management job down on the Peninsula this week, knocking back a seriously overgrown blackberry infestation and getting the area back under control.

Russ was on the excavator and flail doing the heavy lifting, while I was swinging around on the hedger knocking the blackberry off the fence line.

The area came up an absolute treat though. Amazing what you can achieve with the right machinery, a bit of persistence…and Russ actually doing some work.

What an experience! 🏈🇦🇺

NFL at the MCG — never thought we’d be saying that!

An absolutely massive day at the ’G watching the 49ers, and they certainly know how to put on a show. From the atmosphere and the crowd to that incredible flyover, this was something pretty special.

A great day out and one we won’t forget anytime soon.

A little patio glow-up 🌿✨

From framework to finished product — this one came up a treat!

Once the framework was in place, our team got stuck into installing a full irrigation system, planting out some beautiful Plum Gorgeous, and topping it all off with Tuscan rock.

A pretty simple combination, but what a difference it made. 👌

Fresh plants, great colour, plenty of texture and a much more inviting space for hotel guests to sit back and enjoy.

Love watching these projects come together from start to finish

In 2011, a father and son stepped away from banking and started a Jim’s Mowing franchise together.

It began with residential mowing and gardening. Over time, the work grew from smaller properties into commercial property maintenance, along with the experience, equipment, and systems needed to do that work properly.

Those early days shaped the way we work today: always improving, taking pride in the details, by doing each job well.
