A&D Discount Building Supplies Qld is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Loganholme QLD 4129, this role is integral to our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their building supplies promptly and in excellent condition. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our company, representing our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on position that requires both driving expertise and strong customer service skills.
What you'll be doing:
- Operating delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to transport building supplies to customer locations across the Loganholme area and surrounding regions
- Loading and unloading building materials from vehicles, ensuring items are handled carefully to prevent damage
- Verifying delivery documentation and obtaining customer signatures or confirmations upon arrival
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, routes and any issues encountered during the day
- Conducting pre-delivery vehicle checks to ensure the truck is roadworthy and safe for operation
- Providing professional and courteous customer service, addressing any queries or concerns regarding deliveries
- Adhering to all traffic laws, road safety regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicating with dispatch and management regarding delivery status, delays or changes to routes
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
What we're looking for
- A current, valid MR driver's licence appropriate for the vehicles you'll be operating, with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role within the transport or logistics sector
- Excellent knowledge of local roads and routes in the Loganholme area and surrounding suburbs
- Physical capability to lift, carry and stack heavy building materials safely and regularly
- Strong organisational and time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly as a casual employee
- A commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with company policies
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions from management and dispatch
- Preferably, experience delivering building materials or similar heavy goods is advantageous
