Hi, I’m Julia, and I’m the person behind Yarra Light. 🤍 I think it’s time I finally introduced myself.
I’m not really comfortable sharing photos of myself, but I’m going to try to do better because there’s a real person (me!) behind every candle you see here.
I started this small business in 2025 for a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest was simple: I couldn’t find a non-toxic candle that actually smelled amazing, so I decided to make my own.
What began as candle-making for my family quickly turned into something much bigger, and the rest is history.
There’s no big team behind Yarra Light. It’s literally just me doing it all: pouring candles, creating labels, packing orders, answering messages, and everything in between. (And sometimes my partner gets recruited to help, whether he likes it or not. 🤭)
When I’m not making candles, you’ll usually find me behind a camera, out on my bike, hiking a new trail, or planning my next adventure.
