Custom joinery extends well beyond the kitchen.

Recently, we installed this statement bar and TV entertainment unit. Today, we returned to measure for additional joinery our clients are planning for their home.

What other areas of your home could benefit from custom joinery?

It’s the details that make a kitchen work.

From dedicated drawers for cutlery, utensils and crockery, to separate bins for general waste and compost, every storage solution has been considered around how this client actually uses their kitchen.

When renovating, it’s not just about fitting in enough storage, the layout needs to work with the way you prep, cook and move through the space every day.

This is where a kitchen designer can guide you through the process, helping to create custom cabinetry that’s tailored to you and the way you live.

Set amongst the greenery of the Dandenong Ranges, this kitchen was designed to feel at home within its surroundings. Warm timber, characterful tiles and soft green tones create a calm, natural palette, with the subtle movement through the benchtop tying the finishes together.

Our designer, Carol Jackson spent considerable time with the clients exploring finishes and materials to find the right combination for their home — and seeing how much they appreciate the end result makes the process all the more rewarding.

There’s something incredibly special about seeing the building blocks of a project of this scale come together in production and we love the use of the Aged Walnut board from Laminex AU as the carcass material.

Months are spent behind the scenes, with our design and detailing team working through every technical element of the joinery package — from the precision of the hardware inclusions to the considered placement of cutlery dividers, inner drawers and integrated bin systems.

The kitchen island is now being assembled in the factory, and it’s already clear that it will be a real feature of this kitchen. With its considered proportions and carefully resolved details, it’s beginning to bring the design to life.

Walking around the island, you can really appreciate the proud kickers, columns and corbels, along with the wonderful crown-cut feature of the American Oak. The timber will be stained and lacquered as part of the next stage of production, bringing even more depth and richness to this standout piece.
