Gippsland project - Master bedroom update.

Where it started vs where it’s heading.

Styling to follow shortly. Stay tuned!

Window furnishings that complement the space, not drag it down.

Floor to ceiling, wall to wall sheers make the space feel lux whilst also making the room feel larger.

Fresh carpet and door hardware, and no more mix matched paint bring cohesion and calm.

Before.

Before.

This room never felt right and as a result was hardly used.

Now it feels warm and inviting and gets used regularly, especially on a cold winters night.

Three changes I made in here were:

Colour-drenching the walls and ceiling in a darker blue. Painting the ceiling seems scary, but it removes the visual line where the walls meet the ceiling. This makes the room feel elevated and spacious instead of boxy and cheap.

Ditching the flat downlights for layered lamp lighting. Soft pools of warm light at different heights make a space feel intimate. One bright light from above just makes it feel like an office.

Intentional styling adds character and depth. It gives the eye something to land on and slowly scan and explore the space, instead of clutter that overwhelms it.

Same footprint and same sofa. Completely different feeling.

DM me if you’d like your “before” to have an “after” like this.

Colour drenched and unapologetic. The brief? A bedroom that wraps around you the moment you walk in. The kind you don’t want to leave on a cold Melbourne morning.

DM DESIGN if you’d like to build a room worth staying in.

This Airbnb needed to feel considered and premium.

Working with defined parameters meant precision over excess and every selection had to deliver maximum impact for minimal spend.

The right palette doesn’t just look good, it does the work, creating an atmosphere that feels intentional.

A palette should match what you need it to do, not just how it looks on the day.

Whether you’re hosting guests or preparing to sell, design that’s considered from the start directly affects your return.

DM me DESIGN to talk about what the right decisions could do for your project.

Most people think they’re paying for finishes.
They’re not.
They’re paying for the thinking behind every decision before anything is built, purchased, or installed.
That knowledge is what avoids rework, delays, and unnecessary costs.
If you’re making decisions as you go, you’re already behind.

Planning a project?
Send me a message and I’ll help you identify what needs to be resolved before you start.

Why be beige when you can be bold?

Inspiration for a powder room update.

Powder rooms are a great space to inject personality into a room and have a little fun.

Selections for a new build with some special clients.

This stage is often underestimated, yet it’s where the overall outcome of your new home or renovation is defined.

Every finish, material and detail needs to work together. Not in isolation, but as part of a considered whole.

Without clear direction decisions can become reactive, resulting in inconsistencies and costly mistakes.

This is where the value of an interior designer lies. Our role is to take control of the design process and to guide each selection with intent, drawing on experience, trusted suppliers, and a clear vision from the outset.

The result is a home that feels resolved, cohesive, and aligned with the level of investment behind it.

If you need guidance on your project, book a consultation and let’s discuss how we can work tother to bring your vision to life. ✨

Easy comfort with a little personality woven in.

Layered neutrals, soft texture, a grounding green backdrop and artwork that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
