All I wanted was five minutes of peace while watering the succulents… 😂

Ruby had other ideas!

Does anyone else have a garden helper who just has to get involved?

I really like this one. There’s something pretty special about gardening — you’re not just enjoying what’s there today; you’re creating something that can keep growing long after you’ve finished for the day.

And I think that’s one of the best things about growing plants. You get to watch them change, grow and sometimes surprise you along the way.

I definitely don’t garden as though I’ll live forever, though… I’m far too impatient to wait that long to see everything grow. 😂

🌿 Looking gorgeous before their summer snooze!
My Aeonium aureum are looking fantastic right now, but they’ll soon be heading into dormancy for summer, when their rosettes close up tightly like little rosebuds.
I have some available on the website now if you’d like to grab one before they tuck themselves away. 😊

This is one of those things you learn by doing… and sometimes by killing a few plants along the way. 😂

For me, I wish I’d learnt earlier that more water doesn’t mean a happier succulent. I definitely learnt that one the hard way!

What’s a succulent care lesson you learnt the hard way?

Gardening hair is a thing, right? 😂

Once I’ve been out in the nursery for a while, I’m not too worried about what my hair looks like. There’s usually dirt somewhere, a few leaves stuck to me, and my hair has definitely seen better days.

But if the plants are happy, I’m happy.
How bad does your gardening hair get?

I love hearing that Rosey was so happy when she unwrapped her first order.

There's something pretty special about opening a box of succulents and seeing all those different colours and shapes packed inside.

Thanks for your lovely review, Rosey!

Okay, I’m curious about this one… 😂

Have you ever bought a plant and then quietly brought it home hoping your partner wouldn’t notice?

Or maybe you’ve just strategically placed it amongst the others and hoped for the best.

I think this might be the perfect routine. 😂

Eat. Sleep. Succulents. Repeat.

Although owning a succulent nursery means I’ve probably taken the “succulents” part a little too seriously.

There are definitely worse things to be surrounded by all day!
