Our team at Freedom Building Construction recently completed a home modification project in Condell Park, Sydney, under the Support at Home program, following recommendations from the Occupational Therapist.

The works included replacing the internal flooring with hybrid flooring featuring an R10 slip rating, installing a rubber threshold ramp at the main entrance measuring 900 mm wide × 90 mm high, and fitting a 450 mm horizontal stainless steel grab rail inside the shower recess.

These practical modifications were designed to improve everyday access, footing and support across the living areas, entrance and bathroom.

When surface traction issues arise around the home, targeted updates can make a real functional difference. For this home modification under Support at Home in Hornsby, our focus was on improving floor surfaces while keeping existing structures intact.

We applied a non-slip coating directly to the existing kitchen tiled floor to improve flooring. On the outdoor access ramp, we installed non-slip safety tapes across the surface to provide additional traction for everyday access.

Our team recently completed a practical bathroom home modification in Merrylands, Sydney, under the Support at Home program.

We replaced the existing twist taps with a Quoss easy-turn mixer and handheld shower set, making the shower controls easier to operate. We also installed a stainless steel shower grab rail to provide additional support and stability during daily shower use.
