This side garden needed a little TLC, and what a difference a good clean-up makes!

We cleared the overgrown grass and w**ds, tidied up around the tree ferns and planters, and brought the stepping-stone pathway back into view. Now the space looks cleaner, more inviting and much easier to maintain.

What a difference a proper clean-up makes!

From overgrown to cleared and tidy!

This little corner needed some attention! What was once covered in overgrown w**ds, grass and a pile of fallen branches has now been cleared back, leaving a much cleaner and more manageable space.

Sometimes it’s the smaller areas that make a big difference when they’re cleaned up and brought back under control. 💪

TRUST THE PROCESS!!!

This lawn is a great example of why patience and consistency pay off.

When I first arrived, the grass was well above knee height. Rather than taking it all off in one hit and putting unnecessary stress on the lawn, we gradually reduced the height over several visits.

The second photo shows the lawn after the third cut, about a month later. At that stage, I recommended the client give the lawn a weekly application of Seasol Seaw**d for Buffalo and leave it alone for the next month to help encourage recovery and strengthen the root system.

We resumed mowing in the 5th week and then maintained it with regular cuts every 3 weeks throughout winter.

Fast forward to today, and we’re now down to ankle height with plenty of green grass returning.

Is it perfect yet? Absolutely not. There’s still more improvement to come. But compared to where we started, the difference is HUGE and the lawn is heading in the right direction.

Too often people want instant results, but lawn recovery is a process. With the right plan, regular maintenance, and a little patience, great things can happen!

This one wasn’t an overnight fix!

On the first visit, we sprayed the w**ds throughout the garden bed and the crushed rock around the pavers to get everything under control. Then we gave nature some time to do its thing.

Fast forward a month, and we returned to tackle the lot — mowing down the overgrown lawn, edging it up neatly, removing the dead w**ds, and giving the whole front yard a much-needed refresh.

The difference speaks for itself. A little patience and the right approach can completely transform a space without breaking the bank.

Another transformation completed for one of my regular clients.

The Pittosporum screening along the back fence line had become quite overgrown and was starting to over take the back pathway. With a careful prune and tidy-up, I’ve reduced the bulk, improved the overall shape, and brought everything back under control while still maintaining the privacy screening these plants provide.

Regular 6 monthly pruning helps keep any hedge healthy, dense and looking their best, while preventing them from becoming too large and difficult to manage.

Another transformation for a valued return client a couple of weeks ago.

This Box Leaf Privet was overdue for a tidy-up, with long unruly growth taking over its shape and affecting its overall appearance. After a careful trim and reshape, it’s back to a neat, dense, and well-maintained feature plant that complements the garden once again.

While working through the hedge, we also discovered grass growing up through the centre and underneath the plant, slowly trying to take over. We removed the invasive grass by hand and cleared it out completely, giving the privet room to breathe and ensuring nutrients and moisture go where they’re needed most.
