Computer aided visualisation has been instrumental in projecting the architect's ideas from 2D black & white plans to photo-realistic colour perspective models of the house on site. Among other benefits, it plays an important role in showing the client how the house is going to look in their street, prior to going ahead with the concept. Certain city councils now make it a planning approval requirement to provide a photo montage image of the proposed home on the block.
