Better late than never! 🎉🎁🎂🎈🥳

Yesterday Declutter and Organize It turned 16, and I was so busy with my lovely clients that I completely forgot to celebrate!

When I look back over these 16 years, it's not the rooms I remember most, it's the people. We've laughed, we've cried, and we've been in the trenches together.

So many of you have let me into your homes and your lives, and some have become friends along the way. That trust means more to me than I can ever say.

Thank you to every single one of my lovely clients, past and present. You are the heart of this business, and I'm so grateful for each and every one of you. 💙🧡

When the right help comes along, everything starts to fall into place ✨

The stairwell, the hallway and the sideboard had all slowly disappeared under boxes and bags.

My lovely client knew exactly what he wanted, but physically he was unable to do the job himself. An extra set of helping hands was all he needed.

Towers of cookbooks sat on the floor, the hallway was lined with containers and parcels, and there was barely a clear path through.

With his input and my manpower, we worked as a well oiled team to get the job done. We worked on the stairwell, hallway and living area, sorted the sideboard inside and out, and set up his new cube bookshelf so the cookbooks finally have a home.

Linen, crockery, breakables and other things he no longer needed have gone to charity with a drop off to the Save the Children Op Shop.

The hallway is clear to walk through, every cookbook can be seen and reached, and the crow lamps, record player and vinyl collection are finally on display. He now has a safe passage down the hallway and can enjoy his books on display. There is still more to do in the living area and under the stairwell, however it is so much clearer than before. 💛

The hall cupboard was also decluttered and with a shortage of storage has a combination of categories for easy access.

A calm, cosy room to call her own 💕

Life can get very full, and when it does, our spaces often carry the weight of it. This sweet girl's room in Lawnton had become a place where bedding, clothes and little bits had gathered across the floor.

With things not yet having a home, her room wasn't quite the soft place to land she deserved at the end of the day.

Working alongside my lovely client, we cleared the floor, hung her clothes, lined up her shoes and gave her soft toys their own cosy corner.

With her drawers sorted and her bed made up with her favourite cushions, she now has a calm, open room that feels like hers again. A space to rest, dream and just be a kid.

What a difference a day makes in this busy family kitchen! ✨

My lovely client is juggling little ones and a full household. With so much happening every day, the kitchen slowly became the place where everything landed.

Every bench had disappeared under bottles, appliances, snacks and odds and ends. The cupboard under the sink had become a catch all, and the pantry was a jumble of packets with no real system.

Together we cleared the benches so they can be used for cooking again and gave every appliance a sensible spot. The under sink cupboard got a reset, and the pantry got a fresh start, with snacks, sauces, tins and baking basics each in their own home.

The things used every day now live in prime real estate, which means the most used items are in the easiest to get at places.

The floor is clear, the benches can breathe, and mealtimes and lunchbox mornings will run so much smoother. My lovely client can walk into a calm, functional kitchen again. 💛

Every family goes through seasons where life gets busy and our spaces quietly fill up around us, and there is never any judgement here, only support. This shared bedroom in Lawnton is where the little ones sleep, play and wind down at the end of the day, and clothes, toys and everyday bits had slowly filtered to the beds and a floor. My lovely client and I worked through it gently together, putting clothes away, giving the toys a proper home in the toy box and hanging nets, and making both beds up nice and cosy. The toddler corner and sensory tent are now calm and ready for quiet time, the TV unit is tidy with shoes and other goodies in their own cubbies, and there is open floor space for play again. Seeing this room become a peaceful place for the boys to rest was so special. Thank you so much for trusting me with your home! What a transformation in Rothwell! My lovely client's garage had become the place where everything ended up, piled so high you could barely step inside. We sorted through it all together, deciding what to keep and what was ready to go, and the unwanted furniture was loaded into the ute and taken away. We then rearranged the shelving so it now runs along one side, opening up the space near the inside door. The bikes are lined up neatly, the mower wheels straight out, the tubs are stacked and grouped, and the camping gear has its own home on the shelves. We used prime real estate, giving the most used items the easiest to get at places. With the Christmas decorations tucked up high until December, there's now a clear walkway right through the middle. Last day in Griffin with my lovely client for the final pack up before the removalists arrived. 📦 All the most important final items from the kitchen and bedrooms all packed up and unused beds stripped ready for move. Last of linen, bathrooms, clothes into port-a-robes, shoes packed and everything that was possible to pack up was done in the last 8.5 hours plus an extra 2.5 hours of extra help. Thanks to my extra helper.

What a transformation in Moreton Bay with my lovely client, starting with her side of the walk-in wardrobe!
Every piece of clothing came out and was gone through, and only the things that fit and that she loves went back in. Her tops now hang light to dark: strapless, strappy, short sleeve, long sleeve, collared, then coats, followed by short skirts, long skirts, short pants and long pants. Her dresses follow the same flow, right through to evening wear. The six containers above her hanging clothes were emptied, sorted and relabelled for clothes that don't fit right now, off-season, travel and a special one just for Japan. The shelves by the door are now neat sections for travel, linen and medical, and her shoes sit together on little racks at the bottom. Now she can see everything at a glance, and getting dressed each morning is a breeze! Lots of goods off to charity too.

Back in Griffin today with my lovely client for another rewarding day of packing and decluttering! 📦 All of the larger precious photo frames and paintings were carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and tucked safely into picture boxes, while the smaller treasures were wrapped in butcher's paper and nestled into tea chests with some soft linen for extra protection. What a transformation in Rothwell for the young daughter of my lovely client! Once we got through the doorway and made her bedroom safe again, I worked with her to cull the things she no longer wanted and reorientate the room exactly the way she wanted it. Together we organised everything she was keeping and set the space up so her things are easy to access and fun to use. One very happy little girl 😀👧 I'll be back in this home in about two months to tackle more areas!
