Well that's a bummer.
As much as we (and our plants) love the rain it's always disappointing when events are cancelled.

We will still be attending the Mega Markets at Seaforth next Sunday, weather permitting. Hope to see you there!

Tomorrows markets cancelled.

Unfortunately, due to the rain we have already received and more rain forecast, we have made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s Sarina Showgrounds Markets.

The grounds are simply too wet, and we want to avoid any unnecessary damage as well as make sure conditions are suitable for our stallholders and visitors.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank everyone for their understanding.

Stay dry and we look forward to seeing everyone at our next markets!

Good morning everyone,

We would appreciate everyone's support with the petition for the recognition and management of Leucaena leucocephala, an environmental w**d.

This petition only has until Saturday 24/10 and with just over 1100 signatures it really needs your support.

What does the petition aim to acheive?

-Recognise unmanaged and naturalised Leucaena as a significant emerging environmental and biosecurity issue across Queensland.
-Invest in long-term surveillance, containment, control, research and community awareness programs to reduce further spread and environmental harm.
-Undertake a State-wide assessment of the distribution, environmental impacts and future spread risk of Leucaena.

To sign the E-Petition please copy the link below. To sign in person please drop into the Sarina bowls club.

We have one of our best sellers back in stock!

Melaleuca Decussata Dwarf is a stunning small shrub growing to 1.5m tall and wide with delicate purple flowers that appear in profusion throughout late Spring and into Summer bringing with them birds, bees and butterflies.

I will admit that the Decussata is one of my favourite natives (I know, I shouldn't have favourites - who can blame me though?!). It is as hardy as it is beautiful and with the cross-leaf foliage it draws your eye in the garden even when not in flower.

If you would like to add one - two, three? Who am I to judge? - to your garden send us a message, email or give us a call to book a time to come and have a walk through our newly revamped nursery.

You can read a little more about them and see what other plants we have on offer on our website;

If you are looking for a low maintenance informal hedge, look no further.
Yellow Tea Tree (Leptospermum Polygalifolium) is up to the task.

Growing to 3 metres tall and wide it is a large shrub that when mass planted makes a spectacular hedge that will provide both shelter and food for a multitude of native birds.

It is an easy to maintain plant that loves a full sun position and once it is established, will be rather drought tolerant. They respond very well to pruning, so if you like a more formal shape they are up to that task, too.

Send us a message if you would like to book a time to come and have a look at our Yellow Tea Trees or any other natives that we stock.

Do you like silver foliage? We love it.

These little beauties are Spiny Saltbush (Rhagodia Spinescens). They grow as a low, prostrate shrub up to 1.5 metres tall with a spread of 2 metres, though, they are often much shorter and can be kept to your desired size with regular pruning - which they love, by the way.

Spiny Saltbush are a fantastic plant to provide valuable habitat for small, native birds. As a bonus, they also produce small red, edible berries, if you beat those aforementioned birds to them.

If you'd like to come and see them for yourself just send us a message to arrange a time to pop on over.

Are you looking for a large, fast growing statement tree?

We have Red Cedar (Toona Ciliata) in stock and waiting to be planted.

Red Cedar are a rather large tree, getting to 20 to 30 metres tall - they will need a fair amount of space but if you have the room what better statement tree could you find?

Send us a message to arrange a time to come and grab one!
