Forj Living

Furniture and homewares that create restful environments to connect and enjoy life.

We help people create spaces that effortlessly enhance an environment to rest, connect and enjoy life. With an opportunity to specify several Ico Traders pieces into a commercial project at The Barracks in Brisbane several years ago, Charlotte began exploring the possibility of the Ico Traders range becoming more accessible to the Australian market. With a proud New Zealand heritage shared between Charlotte and Ico Traders founder Miranda Osborne, a cross-Tasman discussion began. The simple and multi-functional furniture and homewares developed by Ico Traders provide comfortable, stylish and timeless designs for many indoor and outdoor environments. We are proud to launch Forj Living as the Australian distributor of Ico Traders Wire Furniture and Homewares. Whether to recharge in solitude or gather family and friends, our range will define and enhance your space.

Ico Traders take quality very seriously when it comes to their furniture but when it comes to photo shoots FUN is the key! A Forj Living collaboration here on Aussie soil last month took us to for a fun filled afternoon! Special mention to for capturing the sillyness so well!
PS. Scotty in those stubbies & knee high socks! 😂

A chair for wherever the day takes you. Morning coffee in the sunshine, an afternoon in the shade, or pulling up another seat when someone drops by. We love furniture that isn't limited to one space or purpose. Pieces that move around the home, adapt to the way we live and stay with us for years to come.
The Coromandel Chair is one of those pieces. Comfortable, versatile and made for all those everyday moments. Because good design should work with the way you live, not the other way around.
Made for real living. Designed to stay.

There’s always room for a little more of the good stuff.
A slow morning. A long lunch. A good book. A conversation that runs a little longer than planned.
As the days get warmer, we’re making a little more room for being outside — and for the moments that make home feel like home. What will you make room for?

A pretty good way to spend a Sunday... the kids are hanging out, the dog is doing his thing, a book in hand and nowhere we really need to be. These are the kind of days we love at home. Nothing particularly planned or exciting, just everyone together, doing their own thing and enjoying the space. And really, this is what it’s all about for us. Furniture that becomes part of everyday family life — moved around, sat on, gathered around and actually lived with.

There’s something special about gathering around a table. This is a big part of why we started stocking Ico Traders furniture here in Australia.
We loved the design, of course, but more than that, we loved what the furniture was made for... real homes, real people and everyday life. Pieces to gather around, pull up when someone drops in, move from inside to out and use over and over again. We wanted to bring furniture to Australia that wasn’t about following the next trend or replacing it in a few years. We wanted pieces that were well made, practical, comfortable and designed to stay with you through different homes and different seasons of family life. Because a table and chairs are never really just a table and chairs. They’re where we eat, talk, celebrate, catch up and spend time with the people we love! That’s the kind of furniture we wanted to bring to Australia and it’s still why we love Ico today.

Coffee tastes better when you’re not rushing it! A quiet coffee before the house wakes up, an afternoon cuppa while the kids are outside, or just five minutes to sit and enjoy being home... these are all blissful moments in time! With a toddler keeping me on my toes and another little one on the way, I’m appreciating those five minutes with my feet up and a coffee in hand more than ever. The Piha Lounger + Waipuna Table makes a pretty good spot for it!

A little love for the Beaumont Stool! We love hearing when a piece finds its place in your home — and becomes part of the everyday. The Beaumont is one of those easy pieces. Pull it up for morning coffee, add a few more when friends come over, or leave it outside ready for the next moment. Simple, sturdy and designed to be used. Thanks Jennifer for sharing the love! Made for real living. Designed to stay.

There have been quite a few new faces around here lately, so let us re-introduce ourselves!

If the Coromandel Chair has been sitting on your wish list for a while, this might be a good time to make the move.
We’re getting low on our current stock, with our next shipment arriving in November featuring Black only. After that, the next shipment isn’t expected until next year.
So if you’ve been contemplating a Coromandel in one of our other colours, there aren’t many left to choose from.
Designed for everyday living, made to stay and easy to move wherever life takes you. Sometimes it’s worth buying the piece you’ve been thinking about for a while.
And don't forget you can bundle these up with a table & Orere and save!

The Piha Lounger is the perfect chair for afternoons in the sun!

It’s such a good idea even the dog will follow!

Bring out that cuppa and wind down!
