Welcome to Coastal Keepsakes — your local destination for personalised gifts and custom signage, handmade on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Founded by husband-and-wife duo Damian and Ursula Smith, our family business has grown from a small creative idea into a trusted name for custom keepsakes and event décor. We’re proud locals — Damian’s family has lived in Buderim for five generations, with Townsend Road named after his great-grandfather. That deep connection to community and craftsmanship inspires everything we do. What We Make
Custom cake toppers to make celebrations unforgettable
Laser-cut and engraved gifts with a personal touch
Name badges and business signage to showcase your brand
Wedding and event signage that sets the scene in style
And so much more…
Every item is designed and crafted in our Buderim workshop using quality materials and professional tools — from precision laser cutting and engraving through to CNC work. The result is unique, meaningful creations designed to last and made with love. At Coastal Keepsakes, we believe the best pieces don’t just decorate a moment — they capture it forever.

A little natural charm with a touch of luxe! ✨

This custom timber A-frame sign was crafted for Cameron Rogers & Co. Solicitors in Buderim.

Precision CNC cut to shape, laser engraved for beautifully crisp detailing, and finished with their logo UV printed in full brand colours.

We love how the warmth of natural timber pairs with the clean, sophisticated finish, creating something that’s both elegant and uniquely theirs.

Proudly made on the Sunshine Coast.

A little brass on a rainy weekend ✨

We loved making this solid brass plaque for our customer yesterday, cut to a custom size and engraved with classic serif lettering and a fine double border. Every brass plaque we make is cut to order from scratch, not a pre-made blank bought in bulk from overseas.

Made to your size, wording and style on the Sunshine Coast, and sent Australia-wide.

A berry sweet first birthday 🍓

We loved creating this custom topper for Maya’s 1st birthday. Layered acrylic strawberries and daisies, with a pink glitter “1st”, to match the strawberry theme. Our talented customer made the cake herself, and it looks amazing.

Custom cake toppers are made to suit your colours, theme and celebration.

Running a small business is tough. There are long days, late nights, broken equipment, plenty of challenges and moments where you question if it’s all worth it.

But sometimes we need a little reminder of why we started. ❤️

We know we’re not alone in feeling this way, and we’re sure some of our fellow small business owners need to hear this just as much as we do.

Every order, big or small, really does mean the world to us.

Keep going. You’ve got this! ❤️
