A Georgian-inspired residence designed for a 10.92m-wide corner block.

At just over 8m wide, the home features a symmetrical façade with a considered mix of brick and stucco across three levels.

The steep site has shaped the overall form of the home, while the corner position allows the Georgian detailing and proportions to be appreciated from multiple street views.

A carefully resolved design that makes the most of a challenging block.

A French Provincial duplex designed with symmetry in mind.

Both residences mirror each other across the facade and floor plan, creating a balanced street presence while making full use of the available site setbacks.

The irregular shape of this Blacktown block became a key consideration in the design of this modern contemporary duplex.

The floor plans were developed closely around the site boundaries to make full use of the available footprint, while keeping both homes open, practical, and filled with natural light.

From the street, the stronger concrete forms are softened with timber cladding, while battens around the upper balconies add privacy without closing off the facade.

A staircase void sits towards the front of the home, helping bring light through both levels and creating a more open arrival from the entry.

Introducing Xanadu | Chatswood (swipe ➡️)

We love seeing our designs come to life, especially when the finished home exceeds expectations.

Xanadu may be a duplex, but it was designed with the space and character of a standalone family home.

Double-height living creates volume where it matters, while full-height glazing draws northern light through the interiors and opens the home towards the pool and bushland beyond.

A sculptural staircase anchors the design, surrounded by Persian Grey natural stone, Perugian Walnut cabinetry and carefully integrated lighting. An internal lift connects every level, while multiple living areas, a w**e cellar and a dedicated entertaining zone give the family space to come together or spread out.

Proof that duplex living doesn’t have to feel compromised.

Some homes you walk into. Verena you arrive at.

Through the gates, up the path, and into an entry with a curved staircase and a chandelier overhead. It sets a tone the rest of the home keeps. Generous living, a kitchen that can handle a crowd, and a main suite that feels like checking into somewhere special every night.

Then the pace drops. Movie nights in a theatre with a star-lit ceiling, and when the weather’s good, the alfresco and pool take over. Long afternoons that go nowhere in particular.
