Another exciting development approval secured by Janssen Designs, this time for a purpose-designed 100-place childcare centre within the rapidly growing suburb of Melonba, in Blacktown City Council.
The development comprises a contemporary single-storey childcare facility with a single-level basement car park, thoughtfully designed to complement the emerging architectural character of the surrounding residential estate.
One of the key design challenges was balancing the operational requirements of a childcare facility with the acoustic amenity of neighbouring residential properties. Through careful consideration of the building’s form, orientation and spatial arrangement, the design incorporates built-form solutions aimed at minimising acoustic impacts while maintaining a functional and engaging environment for children.
Occupying a unique site with three street frontages, the development benefits from exceptional exposure and a prominent presence within the emerging neighbourhood. This presented an opportunity to create an architectural outcome that responds positively to the public domain from multiple perspectives.
We’re pleased to have achieved another successful DA outcome and look forward to seeing this project progress towards construction.
