A little more from our Port Douglas project 🌴

Designed to feel open, relaxed and connected to its tropical surroundings, this home brings together clean architectural lines, natural materials and plenty of moments where the outdoors becomes part of the experience inside.

We’ve loved sharing glimpses of this project as it’s come together, but we’re saving the best for last.

Full reveal coming soon.

Client feedback like this means so much to us.

Collaboration is a big part of the Studio Gestalt process. It’s about listening to our clients, understanding their ideas and knowing when to explore, refine or guide the design in a different direction.

We want our clients to feel involved throughout the journey, while also being able to trust us with the details and enjoy seeing their home come together.

Thank you, Tamsyn, for the beautiful words and for trusting Warren and the Studio Gestalt team with your home.

A bedroom that invites you to slow down.

For our Alexandria Residence, we kept the palette warm and understated, layering soft neutrals with earthy brown tones to create a space that feels calm without feeling flat.

The upholstered bedhead brings softness and structure, while tactile bedding, velvet cushions and the artwork introduce subtle shifts in texture and tone.

A simple palette, but one with plenty of warmth and depth.

The pieces you choose are what make a home feel like yours.

At Mosman Harbour-View House, furniture, artwork and objects were given space to bring their own personality to the interior.

Rather than filling every corner, the focus was on choosing fewer pieces with presence, allowing their form, material and character to become part of the story of the home.

It’s the mix of materials that gives this home its richness.

At our Hunters Hill Cottage, marble, gold brass detailing and velvet upholstery come together to create a layered, moody interior with plenty of warmth.

The marble brings natural movement, brass introduces a subtle sense of luxury, while velvet softens the space and adds another layer of texture.

Each finish has its own presence, but it’s the way they sit alongside one another that gives the home its character.

The heart of our Alexandria Residence project.

The kitchen.

Warm timber, natural stone and darker accents come together to create a kitchen with warmth, depth and plenty of character.

Designed to look beautiful, but more importantly, to work beautifully for everyday life.

Every project starts with understanding the people behind it.

Before we get into finishes, furniture or the finer details, we take the time to understand how our clients live, what they need from their space and what they’re naturally drawn to.

From there, the process unfolds through planning, exploring ideas, developing the design, selecting materials and refining each detail along the way.

It’s a collaborative process, and one we want our clients to feel part of from the first conversation through to the finished space.

A closer look at the details of our Northbridge Waterfront project.

There’s a beautiful contrast at play throughout this home, where raw, textural stone sits alongside warm timber, natural marble and finer metallic details.

In the bathroom, the marble becomes the hero, wrapping the vanity and walls to create a softer, more tonal space. Elsewhere, the rugged stone brings a completely different character, proving that materials don’t need to match to feel connected.

It’s the relationship between these different textures and finishes that gives the home its depth and personality.

When art becomes part of the architecture.

We’re drawn to pieces that do more than simply fill a wall, and the Triptych Mirror by is a beautiful example.

Sculptural forms, organic lines and an exploration of material give the piece a sense of movement, while the integrated light creates another layer entirely, changing how the work interacts with the space around it.

It’s this intersection of art, function and form that makes a piece feel like part of the room itself.

A home that feels refined, without feeling too precious.

Our Mosman Residence project brings together sculptural forms, natural materials and a softer, neutral palette to create spaces that feel elegant but still comfortable enough for everyday life.

Rather than every room competing for attention, there’s a sense of connection throughout the home, with furniture, artwork and smaller details bringing their own personality along the way.

A home designed around how our clients wanted to live and, just as importantly, how they wanted to feel within it.
