VERANDAH FACELIFT

A pleasure to be working on BAU Group project. A well-organised team, a beautiful site and a great project to be involved in.

For this verandah, we used custom-milled Ironbark tongue-and-groove boards with concealed fixings for a clean, gap-free finish. The treated pine joists feature double notches to maintain a slimline profile across the bearers and joists.

All balustrade components were custom-routed on site, including stop chamfers to complement the heritage character of the existing home.

We also retained the original posts wherever possible, carefully splicing sections and removing rot to preserve the existing heritage look while giving the structure a new lease of life.

Very happy with the finished result. We’ll be back on site shortly for the cladding and soffits — stay tuned.

Bondi Project

Recently completed the framing package on this impressive 5th-storey addition, with cladding, eaves and fitout still to come.

A challenging build with plenty of detail to work through, including corner windows designed to maximise the views over the famous Bondi Beach. Strict height restrictions also meant every level and RL had to be carefully considered and worked out throughout the framing process.

Another project completed for Residential Builders — always a pleasure working alongside such a well-organised team and making the whole process run seamlessly from start to finish.

Maroubra Project

Back on site with BHD CONSTRUCTION GROUP bringing another quality project to life.

We first started on this one in September last year, completing the front façade cladding before pausing works while approvals were finalised for the extension. Fast forward to now, and we’re back in full swing.

The rear extension framing is complete, along with the timber floors, wall framing, and a fairly technical roof featuring multiple box gutters and sloping parapet walls. We’re really chuffed with how it’s all come together.

With the fascias now installed, the boys are getting stuck into the sarking and battens, ready for cladding and then fit-out.

As always, a huge focus is placed on getting the details right during the framing stage. Taking the extra time early makes all the difference when we return to install the finishes and ensures the final product comes together seamlessly.

Buzzing to see this one taking shape. Always a pleasure working alongside Deeon and the team at BHD Construction.

Clovelly Project

This one definitely put us to the test — not a straight or level wall in sight when we first stepped on site. We kicked things off by stitching and packing timbers, bringing everything back to true — straight walls, level floors, and ceilings dialled in.

From there, it was all about the finish. Full fit-out with custom door jambs, rebated on site, and a big focus on precision to suit the shadow line detailing throughout the home. The skirtings followed the same detail, and working against existing brick walls meant taking the extra time to get everything sitting perfectly against the Gyprock for a clean, high-end result.

Proud of how this one came together — detail makes the difference.

Another solid project wrapped up

Technical roof install complete at our Annandale project 🙌

We teamed up with .projects to bring this beautiful extension to life. This build features a layered roof system — initial rafters, sheeted in OSB, then a secondary rafter layer to create clean, concealed box gutter detailing. Precision from the ground up.

Inside, we’re framing a cathedral-style ceiling that’s going to take this space to the next level — stay tuned for that reveal.

Over the past few months, and I have been working closely to build one bigger, stronger business — combining our knowledge, experience, labour force and client base. We truly believe that together we can offer a higher-quality, more efficient and more reliable service, which is why we’ve decided to go into business as partners.

We’re fully covered and compliant, holding all required insurances and licensing including public liability, iCare workers compensation, contractor licences and more — so our clients can have complete confidence from start to finish.

Based in Sydney, we’re backed by a hungry, skilled team of around 20 carpenters, ready to take on projects of all sizes. Bigger capacity, tighter systems, and the same high standards you expect — just taken to the next level.
