We often get asked, "I inquired with another company, and they said they could do it in 10 days. Can Excellent do it too?" When this happens, we always take the time to explain the details.
Can it be done in 10 days? Yes, it is technically possible.
However, when each step of the process isn't given enough time to set and cure properly, serious issues like water leaks, moisture seepage, hollow or lifting tiles, and mold growth usually appear within a very short period.

For bathrooms built on timber subfloors:
Most of the time, old bathrooms suffer from waterproofing failure, leading to leaks. Over time, this moisture seeps into the home's structural framing, causing the timber to rot, decay, and attract termites. In our experience, we have seen subfloor joists completely rotted out and on the verge of collapse. If it isn't repaired in time, it poses a major structural risk.
For bathrooms built on a concrete slab:
When the waterproofing fails here, the water tends to travel horizontally into adjoining rooms. We inspect the moisture levels in adjacent walls to check for this. While it might not be obvious at first, over the years, the walls of the neighboring rooms will start to blister, peel, and develop unsightly water stains.
Once we have thoroughly inspected all these factors, we provide a detailed quotation.
