Feeling pumped! I'm working on a new project that will potentially, and hopefully, turn into a new contract.
Being given the opportunity to work on iconic buildings is such a privilege, and something I genuinely feel humbled by.

What disappoints me, but also presents an opportunity for DAYTODAY, is seeing the standard at which some of these beautiful buildings are maintained.
I sometimes wonder whether those responsible for maintaining these properties truly appreciate the privilege and responsibility that comes with looking after them.

But fear no more!

If DAYTODAY is fortunate enough to take over this site, we will bring a completely different attitude, approach and level of care.

Today I am saying goodbye to this ray of sunshine, intern Ben.
When Ben joined me as an intern from his high school business studies program in May, I didn't imagine how amazing our journey would be.
What started as something I wasn't really sure about ended up as a true friendship and a journey that I cherish so much and will remember for years to come.

Thank you, Ben, for the laughs, the motivational chats, the business-focused conversations, learning from one another, and spending hours upon hours together in the car. It was an absolute pleasure, and I will miss you.
Good luck in your future, and I hope our paths will cross again.

As a strata manager once told me, “We work in a thankless environment.”
And let’s face it, it’s not often that an owner goes out of their way to express appreciation for the work and effort that goes into maintaining their property.

So when I received this email today, it genuinely made my day.
Feeling energised, motivated, and grateful.

Spent an amazing day in Wollongong today! 🏢
Together with Herman, our OPM, we spent the day quoting new sites, dropping into local strata management offices to say g’day, and generally getting familiar with the Illawarra — DAYTODAY’s newest region.
It’s always exciting entering a new area, meeting new people and seeing the opportunities ahead.

And I have to say… I love it down here!! Looking forward to seeing what we can build in the Illawarra.

For those who have been working with DAYTODAY over the past four years, this photo will finally put a face to the name. Meet Lisa.

Lisa is one of the main points of contact for our clients and handles a huge amount of our day-to-day correspondence.

It’s funny — Lisa and I sometimes joke about how easily she could be mistaken for the owner of DAYTODAY, simply because so many of our clients rely on her every day.

Lisa was originally introduced to me by Rima, our Office Manager, as a mum looking to earn a little extra money with a side gig.
Four years later, hiring her has turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.

She’s become the perfect fit for our office team — reliable, caring, organised, and genuinely invested in helping our clients and our team.

If you’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Lisa, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. And if you haven’t yet… you don’t know what you’re missing.

The buildings are real. The surroundings… not so much. 😎

Sometimes your best people don't need more pressure, they need a different opportunity. That's something Ken reminded me.

He joined us in 2016 as a cleaner - dependable, detailed, the kind of person every team needs.
But years later, I could see the physical load was wearing him down.

I didn't push harder. I asked a different question. What if this isn't the right seat?
I moved Ken into a Quality Control Manager role and he took off.

Today he doesn't just check quality in Sydney and ACT. He also manages a full cleaning run across Sydney.

Leadership is often about noticing when someone needs a different path, not giving up on them.
Ken's growth is one of the clearest reminders I've had of that.
