My process for each piece is intuitive. After mostly creating statement pieces for the Perla collection, I craved a simple shape that could become a staple piece in any home. The size and placement of the pearls draw your eye upward, adding subtle drama to balance statement floral arrangements.

Designed as a staple centrepiece in my own home, I have used it for large blossom branches and bouquets, regular market bunches, and styled it on its own.

Been delving deep into a new project lately…

Weeks have been filled with concept and design, testing new materials and finishes, prototyping new products and learning new techniques. There’s been many moments of excitement, inspiration, tears, frustration, breakthroughs, questioning why I can’t just do ‘simple’ things and reminding myself that challenges are an invitation for growth.

I am beyond excited for this project, collection, and to be sinking my teeth into something new. Most of the work has and will be happening behind the scenes for a while and l can’t wait to share more with you as it continues to develop —— hopefully you’ll love it too!!

In 2024 a new customer asked me to make her one of my sold out Perla 01 vases for her new beach house. I did. She loved it. Her Perla collection grew and grew.

A few weeks ago I got another message from her…

During the installation of her new kitchen, the cabinetmakers broke her treasured vase. She was devastated!

“I need to beg you to make me another vase.”

“I can’t not have another....I will sell you a kidney!”

“Pretty please.”

This hit different. It was more than kind words. More than a normal purchase.

It was proof of the impact this piece had on her home. Of the void it would leave not being there. But not just *a* missing vase —— *that* vase.

I truly could not imagine a bigger compliment of my work.

This is the feeling I hope my pieces bring to all of your spaces…and I hope you never have to find out this way how much you love them!

Oh, and yes…. she got another vase!
