β¨ A Little Trip Down Memory Laneβ¦ β¨
I've been feeling a little nostalgic of late, so I thought I'd share some of my earlier work from my days of traditional decoupage.
Looking back at these pieces, I'm reminded of the many hours spent carefully cutting, arranging, layering, varnishing and polishing β all part of the wonderful art of decoupage.
These works reflect my love of classical imagery, beautiful decorative objects and the timeless elegance of traditional craftsmanship.
The ginger jar, titled Boy, Bubbles and Castles, dates back to 1994 β over 30 years ago! Where has the time gone?
Although my artistic journey has evolved into contemporary collage, mixed media and digital design, I can still see the influence of those early years in the work I create today.
Different techniques, different times, but the same passion for art and creativity. β€οΈ
Sometimes it's lovely to look back and appreciate where the journey began.
I'd love to know β do you ever revisit your earlier creative work and find yourself feeling a little nostalgic?
