We get so caught up in the day to day running of the business, it’s easy to forget that before we have the pleasure of shipping each piece out to our lovely customers just how much work goes into to transforming raw materials into the finished product… here’s a little insight into that process 🤎

A little look behind the scenes at the steps we take to design a new piece!

“The home should be the treasure chest of living.”
— Le Corbusier, Swiss-French furniture designer

After almost six months and a complete renovation, we’ve finally moved back into our home. It feels a little surreal. For context, we spent that time bunkered down in a shed converted into a very basic granny flat on our property, which has a way of recalibrating what you really need.

Before the renovation, we minimised our belongings, selling most of our furniture and keeping only the pieces we truly loved. What we’ve returned to is a sparsely furnished home, and honestly, it feels like a gift.

Now begins the part I’m most looking forward to: the slow, thoughtful process of selecting pieces for each space. Gathering objects we love. Mixing old and new. Vintage finds alongside contemporary forms. Different styles layered together to create character and interest.

Of course, there will be space for Rekindle pieces, but always alongside treasures with stories of their own. After all, a home is built over time, one loved thing at a time and Le Corbusier puts it perfectly in this famous quote ✨

When we designed Théodore, we had apartment living in mind, cosy breakfast nooks and even the opportunity to recreate those very European inspired cafe-style dining spaces 🥐 ☕

Crafted from solid American Ash, the Théodore Dining Table stands apart from other small, pedestal tables you may find in the market. His curved tabletop adds elegance and charm while maximising space, ensuring safety for little ones, and cultivating a natural flow of conversation.

Supported by sturdy, curved legs, Théodore is built for stability—perfect for everything from meal preparation to work and cozy gatherings.

Sealed with a natural matte finish (that offers the timber great protection) and cottage-inspired detailing, it seamlessly blends rustic beauty with refined craftsmanship.
