Before renovating our laundry, I really wanted to try limewash paint.

I found it such an interesting material. It's more natural and healthier for an indoor space.

I chose Bauwerk because it's made in Australia and created with natural mineral pigments, making it non-toxic. It smells much better than regular paint and feels completely different. It gives a more elegant and luxurious finish.

We went to see their collection in their Perth showroom, where they have a large range of colours to choose from. We took a few samples and placed them on the wall. Axel and I picked the same one straight away.

Here are the 3 things that made the biggest difference when applying it:

1. Start with a very clean, smooth wall

2. Use the Bauwerk Prep Coat

3. Apply in soft criss-cross movements and trust the second coat

I found it very easy to apply, it dries quite quickly, and the result is very satisfying.
