I am a self taught south australian artist, living and working on our beautiful south coast. I am a child of the 50's and 60's, and of the beach. I grew up at Glenelg and Somerton in South Australia. I have been painting for about 20+ years and have had a number of successful solo and joint exhibitions. Since my last SALA show I have been busy with commissions and with the development of a range of limited edition prints and cards of some of my favourite paintings. When I am not working on commissions I am painting images inspired by my childhood growing up by the seaside. I try to evoke in my paintings a feeling of nostalgia, of childhood memories and of simpler more innocent times. I love found objects, recycled timber, industria, dogs and children. My being a grandfather to 2 energetic boys provides constant pleasure and bucket loads of inspiration! COMMISSIONS
Commission work prices including portraits and specific size paintings are available on request. To begin a commission please contact me via email at [email protected]. Prices are dependant on size, composition, and detail. Please think about the size you would like, colours you prefer and your subject. If the painting is of specific people images will be needed. They can be taken by me if distance allows or else they will have to be provided by you. Commissions require a 25% deposit before commencement of the artwork. Commissions can also be based on previously sold work but no two works are ever identical so please bear that in mind.
