Still running on your original fuse box?

Plenty of older homes across the Fleurieu were fitted out decades before today's electrical demands existed, and an ageing switchboard can struggle to keep up.

Frequent tripping, warm powerpoints or dimming lights when appliances kick in, can all point to a switchboard reaching its limit.

A modern upgrade brings in proper safety switches and circuit protection, and creates capacity for extras like air conditioning or an EV charger.

Our licensed electricians can assess your switchboard and talk you through what's needed.

Call BCS Electrical on 8554 3094 for an assessment.

Struggled to get an electrician to call you back?

One of our customers, Anne, put it best in a recent comment online:
"If you want my advice, just ring BCS Electrical Victor Harbor, they will book you in asap and they will turn up when they say they will and are very reasonably priced. We use them for anything electrical and have never been disappointed yet."

That's the kind of reliability we aim for on every job, big or small, across the Fleurieu.

If you need an electrician who actually turns up, call BCS Electrical today on 8554 3094.

Wish you'd added power to the shed, carport or workshop when it was built?

It's not too late.

Our licensed electricians can tap into your existing supply, or run a new one, to add lighting and powerpoints exactly where you need them, whether it's a workspace, man cave or entertainment zone.

And if the job means working up high, our team is ticketed for work at heights, so a tricky roofline or tall shed is no obstacle.

From Victor Harbor to Goolwa and Yankalilla, we've been getting these jobs done safely and professionally for over 30 years.

Call us at BCS Electrical today on 8554 3094 to get your shed sorted.

What keeps our customers coming back to us time and again?

Christine Wilson, a long-time Victor Harbor customer, recently shared this about her experience:
"We've used BCS a number of times in the last 25 years since being back in Victor and cannot fault the service and quality of work that has been done on a number of occasions."

It's feedback like this that reminds us why we've stuck to doing things properly since 1991, generation after generation.

If you're after a trusted, local Fleurieu electrician you can rely on, call us at BCS Electrical on 8554 3094.

Old electrical waste shouldn't just go in the bin, and today, International E-Waste Day, is a timely reminder of that.

At BCS Electrical we sort and recycle our electrical waste, where possible, at the local South Coast Recycling & Scrap Metal Co recycling depot, and we're always happy to chat with customers about doing the same.

Want to help the environment even more? Switching to energy-efficient LED lighting is one of the simplest ways to cut both power bills and landfill waste, since LEDs can last up to 50,000 hours compared to around 1,200 for old incandescent globes.

Ready to make the switch? Call BCS Electrical on 8554 3094 or visit our website blog - Energy Efficiency: LED Lighting Upgrades for the Home to find out more about LED lighting options.

Familiar sight?
Powerboards multiplying around your house?

It's time to add some more powerpoints.

Older homes across the Fleurieu were rarely designed for the number of devices we rely on today, from laptops to phone chargers to streaming boxes.

A licensed electrician can assess your home's wiring and add powerpoints or USB outlets exactly where you need them, safely and neatly.

Cut down on trailing cords and overloaded boards, and get power where you need it.

Call us at BCS Electrical today on 8554 3094 to arrange your powerpoint upgrade.

Daylight savings has arrived.

It's a handy trigger to check your smoke alarms while it's fresh in your mind.

Batteries should be replaced at least once a year, and alarms themselves only last around ten years even if they still seem to work.

Check the label near the battery for an expiry date, and if you're unsure, our licensed electricians can test, repair or replace alarms to meet South Australian requirements.

Check out our website blog - Smoke Alarm Rules in South Australia: What Homeowners Often Misunderstand for more information.

If you need help to check, replace or install a smoke alarm, give us a call on 8554 3094.

Aww ... not our usual office visitors!

These cute and cuddly Border Collie pups certainly melted our hearts when a customer called into our Victor Harbor office this week.

Who could resist the chance for a cuddle and a lick with that puppy breath!?
