🚨 DON'T WAIT FOR BLOAT TO STRIKE 🚨

With lush spring growth across Northern Victoria and Southern NSW, we're seeing increasing reports of cattle bloat throughout the region.

Pastures dominated by clover and lucerne can create serious bloat risks, and when it happens, livestock can deteriorate rapidly.

🐄 What is bloat?

Bloat occurs when gas becomes trapped as foam in the rumen, preventing cattle from releasing it naturally. In severe cases, it can become fatal with very little warning.

⚠️ Is your property at risk?

Pay close attention if you have: ✅ Lush, rapidly growing clover or lucerne pastures
✅ Hungry cattle moving onto fresh feed
✅ Paddocks with a history of bloat problems

🟨 PLAN AHEAD WITH OLSSON'S BLOAT-LIQ

Olsson's Bloat-Liq is a molasses-based anti-foaming block designed to help relieve the symptoms of bloat and support your bloat management program.

Available in: • 15kg Blocks
• 40kg Blocks

Olsson's recommends placing Bloat-Liq blocks out at least two weeks before anticipated bloat periods. Always follow label directions and monitor consumption rates.

✔ APVMA approved for the prevention of bloat in livestock.

🌱 Make bloat prevention part of your spring management plan

• Avoid moving hungry cattle directly onto high-risk paddocks
• Offer hay before introducing stock to lush pasture
• Monitor cattle closely during high-risk periods

If you notice swelling on the left side, signs of distress, or difficulty breathing, contact your veterinarian immediately.

📍 Available now Wangaratta Rural Supplies
