Spraying the ants you see feels like progress, but it doesn't touch the nest they came from. Try this instead: follow an active trail for 5 minutes, don't spray it, and watch where it leads. Most trails run further than people expect, often to a gap in paving, a garden edge, or a wall cavity.

Even once you've found the nest, spraying it usually doesn't finish the job. Most nests are too deep to reach properly, and disturbing one can split it into multiple smaller colonies instead of killing it.

That's where bait wins: the TopBait™ Knock-On Protection Pack gets carried back into the colony by the workers themselves, reaching ants (and the queen) a spray never could.

A Melbourne buyer's agent has gone viral after warning house hunters about a hidden defect that can cost $50,000+ to fix, and Domain covered the story this month.

The culprit is rising damp: moisture creeping up through your walls, almost invisible until the damage is done. It often starts with poor drainage, with water pooling against the house instead of running away from it. Left long enough, you're looking at rotting timber stumps, cracking walls and repair bills north of $50,000.

And damp timber is exactly what termites look for. They're active in your landscape right now, and you won't see them until the damage shows.

That's why it pays to tackle both:
Aquablock helps protect against moisture and termites.
Demise termite monitoring lets you know what's happening in your landscape, before it costs you.

Fix the moisture. Monitor the termites. Protect your home before it's the headline.

Fire ants have been detected in Sydney. What happens next?

Queensland has spent more than 25 years fighting one of Australia's most serious invasive pest threats. Now, a new detection in Sydney's inner west is a reminder of how easily these pests can arrive and why early detection matters.

In our latest article, we look at how fire ants spread, the risks they pose to people, pets and wildlife, what to look for and how to report a suspected nest.

Know what to look for. Know how to report it.

We're halfway through spring, here's a genuinely useful 5-minute check. Walk your yard and house, and look for three things: ant trails near doors or windows, spiderwebs building up in corners, and flying insects near outdoor lights at dusk (worth a closer look if you're seeing more than usual).

None of it's urgent yet, but catching it now is a lot easier than dealing with it once summer speeds everything up.

Termite swarming season means winged termites are actively looking for new places to nest. A swarm outside doesn't always mean they've made it inside yet.

Winged termites and flying ants can look very similar, so it pays to take a closer look before you decide what you're dealing with.

Not sure what you're seeing? A licensed pest professional can confirm it for you.

Once you know it's termites, baits target the colony and monitoring helps you catch activity early. Our termite range has the tools for you.

Available as a single 360g cartridge or a 12 pack.

Male or female? To the naked eye, almost impossible to tell. But females are slightly longer and heavier, and they're the ones doing the damage. One female can lay up to 2,000 eggs, and females outnumber males in most hives.

Catch her early, and you stop the eggs before they start.

Shop the Topbait range and stay ahead of it.

Small hive beetle isn't just a summer problem, it builds through spring as temperatures climb, and a hive under pressure can go from a few strays to a slimed-out mess faster than most keepers expect.

One trap doing the work of two is a common gap, especially once a colony is strong and beetles have more places to hide

Topbait handles the beetles already in your hive. But small hive beetle larvae actually leave the hive to pupate in the soil nearby, then come back as adults to start the cycle again.

Spring speeds that whole process up. Temephos granules treat the ground itself, so fewer beetles make it back to your hive in the first place.
