A reading room that feels like a natural part of the old farmhouse.
The existing timber beams were thoughtfully integrated into the new interior, creating a layered composition with authentic materials, soft textures and natural tones.
Old and new come together seamlessly, preserving the character of the original architecture.

De leesruimte als vanzelfsprekend onderdeel van de oude hoeve.
De bestaande houten balken werden bewust geïntegreerd in het nieuwe interieur en vormen samen met authentieke materialen, zachte texturen en natuurlijke tinten een gelaagd geheel.
Nieuw en bestaand komen hier samen, zonder het karakter van de oorspronkelijke architectuur te verliezen.

A transition between old and new.
The entrance to the living space, a fireplace as a natural focal point, and a staircase that reveals the existing roof structure once again.

Materials and sightlines connect the different spaces, enhancing the character of the farmhouse — understated, timeless and in harmony with what was already there.

Een overgang tussen oud en nieuw.
De toegang tot de leefruimte, een haard als natuurlijk middelpunt en de trap die het bestaande dakgebinte opnieuw zichtbaar maakt.

Materialen en zichtlijnen verbinden de verschillende ruimtes en versterken het karakter van de hoeve — ingetogen, tijdloos en in harmonie met het bestaande.

In this renovation of a historic farmhouse, connection is at the heart of the design.
The dressing room creates a gentle transition towards the bedroom, while the exposed timber beams preserve the authentic character of the farmhouse.

Carefully framed views create calm, continuity and a natural flow between the spaces.

In deze renovatie van een historische hoeve staat verbinding centraal.
De dressing vormt een zachte overgang naar de slaapkamer, terwijl de zichtbare houten balken het authentieke karakter van de hoeve behouden.

Doorzichten creëren rust, samenhang en een vanzelfsprekende flow tussen de ruimtes.

A TIMELESS RENOVATION OF A FRENCH VILLA.

For this project, the entire home was stripped back and rebuilt, with particular attention to sightlines,
natural light, the integration of authentic elements and a carefully considered material palette.
The kitchen forms the heart of the home, flowing seamlessly into the surrounding spaces.
Creating a continuous flow — both visually and functionally.
A considered whole where architecture, materiality and functionality come together.

Voor dit project werd de volledige woning gestript en opnieuw opgebouwd, met bijzondere aandacht voor zichtlijnen,
natuurlijke lichtinval, de integratie van authentieke elementen en een zorgvuldige materialisatie.
De leefkeuken vormt het hart van de woning en loopt naadloos over in de aangrenzende ruimtes. Zo ontstaat een continue flow — visueel en functioneel.
Een doordacht geheel waarin architectuur, materiaal en functionaliteit samenkomen.
