GARDE

The process of momentanising living material—enstilling it in a final form—continues to humble me.
The scent of green wood, the sound of the chisel moving through the grain, and the raw physical work of transforming a heavy, unyielding mass of wood, millimetre by millimetre, into an almost weightless organic object quiet my mind and urge me to let go.

This portrait was taken in our studio in the winter of 2025, at the family home we shared for 25 years. This summer, we moved to Walhoeve, marking the close of one era and the beginning of the third act of our lives.
Our new home in the countryside is still taking shape, yet we are deeply drawn to its serenity and honest beauty.

One final portrait before moving forward.
A new chapter for Moss Studio begins here.
New work available this fall.

Delicate and light as a feather.

Subtle movement shapes its form —
almost like stretched hide, sensual.

A broad, low bowl turned from solid oak.
