Behind every room transformation is a whole lot of heart (and some heavy lifting!) 🚚📦

A day in the life behind the scenes: studio prep, art packing, truck loading, and making sure every piece is ready to tell a story. It’s physical, sometimes chaotic and deeply rewarding all at once 💫

Thankful for the process, the hustle and the spaces we get to create every day 🤍

“Can I see some of your work”

Always! Here’s a quick look at a few spaces brought together with intentional layouts, warm layers, and all those finishing touches that turn a house into a home 🛋️✨

The secret to a cozy breakfast nook? Layering textures and maximizing natural light. ☕✨

We paired warm wood tones and soft leather dining chairs with a built-in window bench to create a space that’s equal parts functional and inviting.
The custom upholstery and throw pillows make it the perfect spot for morning coffee or casual family meals.
Small spaces don’t have to sacrifice style—it’s all about choosing pieces that feel intentional and grounded.

These clients wanted help with decorating the main areas of their new home they moved into. They felt comfortable purchasing the foundation items like their sofa and chairs but needed our help to finish off the spaces.

We added accent tables, wall art, an area rug and decor to tie everything together and give their new home the personality it was missing!

Although there’s no single element that captures the spirit of a beautifully designed room, decor pieces bring the magic that can enhance and elevate a space that already has great bones.

Check out our Journal post this month where I list my go-to decor pieces that will make an impact on your space.

Although much of the design planning happens long before demo begins, the creative process occurs throughout a project and many times collaboratively onsite to solve dilemmas.
This team approach enables ingenuity, creates a state of play to explore new ideas and can make all the difference in achieving client goals and exceeding expectations. AI can’t do that 😉

Loving this spring (almost summer) and all the bright, cheery colours this time of year brings!
The energy, the feeling of renewal - so inspiring 🩵
It reminds me of some of the cottage spaces I’ve designed and styled in years past where we embraced a brighter palette and of course blue always.

(Before + After) My client didn’t want “just a laundry room”. She wanted to have a space that worked hard and looked good doing it.
Function doesn’t have to be boring when it’s designed thoughtfully.

The power of custom cabinetry 🪄
A common theme among homeowners is the desire for more storage.
For this project the clients wanted a main floor laundry area so we created this functional and attractive custom solution, best part it’s hidden when not in use!

This month on the KGD Journal we’re diving deeper into Invisible Storage For Your Home
