Video #2 – Snug Harbour Pool BuildStanding Walls • Bracing • Concrete Footer
The difference between a standard pool build and a KCIP pool build is in the details — especially the ones you won’t see once the project is finished.
Many companies only brace where the steel wall panels join together — essentially the bare minimum. They may also backfill with sand and place grout directly on the ground. These shortcuts may save time and money during construction, but they can lead to a subpar build and lower overall construction standards.
At Kawartha Custom Inground Pools (KCIP), we build differently.
We brace every panel joint AND every back rib within each panel — similar to the studs in the walls of your home. This creates a substantially stronger and more rigid pool structure designed for long-term durability.
We also go well beyond standard construction practices:
• Extensive wall bracing at every joint and panel rib• Concrete footers securing and supporting the pool structure• Two-stage pool bottoms for a stronger, more precise finished product• Meticulously hand-mixed and hand-finished final bottoms over the rough base• Individually plumbed lines designed for easier winterization, maintenance, troubleshooting and long-term plumbing reliability• Higher construction standards from start to finish
And here’s what really separates KCIP: we include these upgraded building practices for around the same price as our competitors who don’t do these things.
