🎃🍂💚 Midway through October already! 💚🍂🎃

Pumpkin season is still going strong, the leaves are doing their thing, and somehow Movie Night is only 11 days away! 🍿🎬✨

We'll be squeezing in a few more trips through the Straw Bale Maze before the month is over, too. 🌾😄

(And yes, I'll do my best to keep the candy buckets stocked. No promises if the adults discover them first. 🍬👀)

🌱 A new planting! 🌱
And, as usual, this update is a few days late! 😅
But the good news is that the sprouts are coming up healthy and adorable! The basil that was in the pots has been hardened off and transplanted into new pots, and they're now available for sale in the greenhouse. 🌿
The oregano is... well... not doing much yet. 😆 No sprouts so far, but we're keeping our fingers crossed and patiently waiting for it to make an appearance!
It's always exciting to watch these little seedlings grow, and we can't wait to see how this batch turns out.

It feels like it's been a while since we chatted about Steve's Farm Fresh Pork.

And with yesterday's announcement that the Lions Club potatoes are here, my brain is still firmly stuck on perogies.

Now, whether that's because I'm craving them or because I've spent too much time thinking about potatoes this week is a question we're not going to examine too closely. 😅🥔

But it's funny how you start to recognize the seasons by the things that show up around you.

🌾 Harvest season.
🥟 Perogy-making season.
🚜 Butchering season.

Okay, hold on.

Before anyone starts drafting strongly worded comments, let me clarify:

Sustainably raised. Humanely cared for. Treated with respect every step of the way.

There. Everybody take a deep breath. ❤️

Because around here, farming isn't just about food. It's about stewardship, responsibility, and respecting the animals that help feed our communities.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way...

Let's talk about bacon and perogies.

Because if you've got a bag of fundraiser potatoes sitting on your counter and a package of Steve's bacon in your fridge, you're already halfway to prairie perfection.

So. Sass seems to be the flavor of the month around here lately.

And honestly?

I am absolutely here for it. 😆

Along with the dish towels, we've been bringing in sassy coin purses, pencil cases, and clutches.

So. Much. Adorable. Sass.

Now, I may be a little biased, but if you put something cute in front of me, don't be surprised when the cute aggression briefly surfaces. It's a personality trait at this point. 😅

And then there are these little emoji reflectors.

I know we've finally put the time change debate to rest, but it's still getting darker earlier, and being visible out there is important for everyone. Whether you're heading out for a walk, walking the dog, or just trying to make sure traffic sees you, a little extra visibility never hurts. ✨

Plus, as someone who grew up during the golden age of o.0, :P, and painstakingly texting on a T9 keypad, I've got a soft spot for a good emoji.
