Even though Negril is doing okay, many towns in Westmoreland were hit hard by Hurricane Melissa. 🌊🕯️

This year, all proceeds from our Seven Mile candles go toward hurricane relief—helping families with food, school supplies, and hygiene essentials as they recover.

Light a candle, lift a community. 💛💙🇯🇲

Thank you for your patience while I’ve been behind the scenes. Custom labels are back🎉 and I’ve been deep in the work of expanding our give-back for students in Trinidad.

I’m also using my voice more—sharing stories and lessons about the Caribbean diaspora experience, and offering coaching + mentorship to women who are ready to write and connect to their stories more deeply.

You can learn more about everything I’m building at courtneyallen.ca 🤍

As we close out Black History Month, we’re celebrating innovators who are changing the future of healthcare.
In today’s post, you’ll meet loukun Elebute, COO of Cellect Laboratories, a Black woman at the forefront of revolutionizing women’s health. Cellect is developing non-invasive diagnostic tools using mental blood-offering hope for earlier detection of conditions like endometriosis and cervical cancer.

For too long, women’s health has been overlooked but with leaders like Ibukun, the future is looking brighter.🔬💜🧡

If you know me, you know I’ve never played about education. But something we don’t always consider is how much ease and confidence shape a child’s experience in school. When kids have what they need, they can focus on learning instead of worrying about the basics.

That’s why I started Phoenix Futures—a community initiative dedicated to supporting the next generation. Our first project, The Gift of Learning, is making sure kids start the school year with the essentials.

For $25, you can equip a child with school supplies that will open doors to new possibilities. ✨

Each one deserves to feel prepared and supported and I’m looking forward to making that happen, together. Tap the link in my bio to give The Gift of Learning today! 💙🐦‍🔥💛📚
