When we renovated our home, we made the original living room smaller to create a larger kitchen + great room. We then leaned into its new proportions and turned it into the cozy, moody library I had envisioned for so long.

We colour-drenched the walls, ceiling, beams, crown moulding, and trim in Otter SW 6041 by , completely changing the mood of the space.

Paint is one of the most powerful design tools we have and this room is a perfect example.

There’s nothing quite like seeing a vision come to life.

We started fresh with our primary bedroom, and it was the paint that created the vibe. We carried this rich Sherwin-Williams colour across the walls, ceiling, and trim - creating the warm, enveloping feel I had envisioned from the beginning.

There’s something pretty special about seeing an idea finally become your home. 🤍

From the beginning, I wanted our home to feel warm, layered and collected, with materials that added character without competing for attention.

CRAFT Living hardwood became an important part of that vision. Their hardwood runs throughout our main floor and onto the pitched ceiling, creating one of my favourite details in the entire house!

Now that it’s all finished, I love how the two applications connect the spaces and bring so much warmth to our home.

So happy to finally share the finished result.

Very excited for today. It’s the day I’ve been waiting for many, many months. If you’ve been following our journey to a new home, you’ll know it took a bit of a turn, but I’m so happy where we landed.

Today we are photographing our new home. It’s basically like Christmas, but better!!!

When we were designing our home, I loved the idea of using wood beyond the floor and taking it right up onto the ceiling.

One of my favourite design decisions in our home was pitching the roof and then and continuing the warmth of wood of the ceiling.

We used CRAFT Living’s Westside hardwood on the ceiling, adding so much warmth and texture overhead, then we incorporated Yorkville DiModa throughout the main and lower level to carry that feeling through the rest of the home.

Two beautiful applications, one material story, and such a fun part of watching our home come together.
