Some people want their homes to look like everyone else’s. My client? She’s not afraid to have a little FUN with hers. 🐱💛

When we tackled her laundry room, we went all in on personality with playful kitty cat wallpaper, green cabinetry for extra storage, and mustard yellow colour-drenched ceilings, doors, and trim to tie it all together.

Bold? Absolutely.
Practical? You bet.
Full of personality? 100%.

And guess what? It’s now her favourite room in the house! 🥹

Which is exactly why I’m now working on her bedroom. Because if we’re going to create a home she loves, she deserves to love the space where she starts and ends each day, too.

I think sometimes we get caught up in what our homes should look like. We play it safe, follow the trends, or worry about what other people might think.

But your home is YOURS. It’s where you live your life, make memories, raise your family, and find comfort at the end of a long day. It should reflect who you are, what you love, and what makes you happy.

You don’t have to transform your entire house overnight. Sometimes it starts with one room, one bold choice, or one little detail that makes you smile every time you walk through the door.

One room at a time, we can create a home that feels unapologetically YOU. ✨

What a weekend at the Edmonton Fall Home Show!

Getting to meet Sarah Baeumler and work alongside her on Healing Haven was such an incredible experience. She is every bit as genuine, kind, and down-to-earth as you would hope, and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to be part of this project with her and the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters (ACWS).

But beyond the design, the beautiful space, and the excitement of the show, it was the PEOPLE who made this weekend so special.

I loved meeting so many new faces, hearing about the home projects you’re dreaming up, and chatting about all things design. I’m already excited to get started on some of the new projects that came out of this weekend! 🏡✨

And to the women who stopped by Healing Haven and trusted me enough to share pieces of your personal stories connected to the work of ACWS — thank you. Those conversations will stay with me. They were a powerful reminder of why this feature mattered so much and why creating spaces that help people feel safe, supported, and at home is so important.

Healing Haven was about so much more than creating a beautiful space. It was about the connection between home, healing, and resilience, and I feel incredibly grateful to have been part of sharing that message.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring Healing Haven to life, everyone who came by to visit, and everyone who made this weekend one I won’t soon forget. 🤍

I’m exhausted, my feet are screaming, but my heart is full — and I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything.

Now… maybe a little rest before we get back to creating some unapologetically personal interiors. 😉
