🌲 BUILT BETTER | LC PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Not every fence needs to be about privacy. Sometimes, it’s simply about defining a property and complementing the landscape. 🌿
This beautiful paddled-style cedar post & rail, installed just outside Perth, Ontario, does just that.
Prestained by us in custom colour, Thunder, it blends beautifully into the surrounding landscape while adding a classic, finished look to this rural property.
A fence that frames the view—not blocks it.

From natural cedar to Thunder! ⚡️🌲

This beautiful urban post & rail fencing made its way through our staining machine and came out in Thunder Grey—and WOW. 😍

We love how the stain adds that rich grey tone while still letting the natural cedar grain shine through.

Now it’s drying on the rack before heading off to its new home on Pike Lake. 🏡🌲

Which do you prefer: Natural or stained grey?

Another beautiful cedar project, Built Better by Lanark Cedar.

🚛 When one flatbed just isn’t enough… you add another! 😂🌲

This is one BIG load of cedar post & rail fencing heading out to Ottawa South.

Two flatbeds. One order. A whole lot of cedar. 💪

Now THAT’S what we call a fence order! 👀

🌲 Cedar that belongs in the landscape.

We love seeing how our customers bring their outdoor projects to life!

This beautiful cedar rail fence is at a gorgeous property in Wakefield, and our retail customer took on the installation himself. We think he did a fantastic job!

As he put it: “The cedar rail fencing turned out well. Quite happy with the end result. Thanks!”

Thank you for sharing your photos with us! It’s always rewarding to see our materials become part of such beautiful properties. 🌿

Thinking about a fencing project of your own? Stop by Lanark Cedar, give us a call, or visit our website to explore your options. We’re always happy to help you find the right materials for your project.

Texture meets drama. 🖤🌲

Take a look at this Hemlock tongue & groove siding, stained a rich black that really lets the natural texture and character of the wood stand out.

The result? Striking. Modern. Completely unique.

It has that dramatic, charred-wood look of Shou Sugi Ban—but without the fire, the extra process, or the price tag.

This beautiful material is headed to a home project where it will be used as exterior siding, creating a bold, modern finish while still showcasing the natural beauty of the wood.

We’re pretty obsessed with this one. 😍

Natural wood. Bold colour. Built different.

What do you think—would you use black wood siding on your home?

Built Better | LC Project Spotlight ✨

Here’s another great before-and-after transformation from the Lanark Cedar team!

This second-storey deck was ready for an upgrade, and the finished result is a safer, cleaner and much more modern outdoor space.

Here’s what we changed:

🔨 Extended the deck with a small addition to the overall length

🪵 Replaced the old pressure-treated decking with durable, low-maintenance TruNorth Composite Decking

🤍 Replaced the old, unsafe railing with a clean, modern white Trex railing

🏡 Upgraded the posts and trim from pressure-treated lumber to crisp white Clubhouse PVC Trim

The result is a completely refreshed deck with a polished look and materials designed to stand up to the elements.

From worn out to built better. 👌

Another project we're proud to have been part of!
