🇯🇲 Jamaican Curry Goat with a side of bare shenanigans! 😂🔥

Who knew making curry goat could turn into a whole entertainment session in my kitchen?! 💃🏽🤣

Between the singing, dancing, my Butterfly days coming back to haunt me, and my microphone deciding it had enough of me… we somehow managed to make one delicious pot of Jamaican curry goat! 😂

Marinated overnight, cooked until beautifully tender, and finished with that rich, flavourful curry gravy! 🤤🔥

And yes, the goat was so tender I could cut it with a spoon!

❤️ A Taste of My Acadian Roots 🇨🇦

Some foods are so much more than just a meal. They’re part of your childhood, your culture, your family, and who you are. ❤️

While visiting family in New Brunswick, I got to enjoy some traditional Acadian râpure, a dish I grew up eating and one that will always hold a special place in my heart.

Different Acadian regions and families have their own ways of making it. In my family, we traditionally use pork and chicken, cooked potatoes, raw grated potatoes (patates râpées), seasonings, and pieces of dried bread and baked in the oven. Some make it firmer, others softer, and that’s part of what makes our traditions so special.

And yes, I eat mine with molasses! 😋 Some prefer butter.

Of course, sitting around the table with my family means lots of laughter, French conversations, and apparently my mother exposing me in front of everyone! 😂🍹

This is a little glimpse into my Acadian heritage, and I’m so happy to share it with you. ❤️

Who says you need to go to a fancy restaurant to enjoy fancy food? 😍🍽️

Sometimes you just have to spoil yourself right in your own kitchen, and that’s exactly what I did! ❤️

I made these absolutely DELICIOUS crostini with creamy goat cheese, homemade pancetta & apple jam, finished with a strawberry balsamic glaze! 🍎🍓

The combination of sweet, savoury and creamy flavours was AMAZING! 🤤

And yes, I made these just for myself… because WHY NOT?! 😂

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! 🇨🇦🍁🦃❤️

Allyuh, look at this Thanksgiving spread! 😍🍽️

We’ve got roasted vegetables, curry goat 🐐, steamed cabbage, creamy potatoes, gravy, rice and peas, ham, mac & cheese, homemade stuffing, and a delicious homemade carrot cake for dessert! 🥕🍰

And of course, I had to put a little bit of EVERYTHING on my plate! 😂 Apparently, my eyes were MUCH bigger than my stomach because there was no way I was finishing all that food! 🤣🤣

There’s just something special about enjoying good food with the people we love. ❤️

It was a grey, rainy day in PEI when my photography friends and I spotted a small herd of Highland cattle in a field. We pulled over, grabbed our cameras, and I'm so glad we did.

This little calf, still wet and fluffy, leaned in to nuzzle its mother, who stood patiently with her long horns and shaggy, rain-soaked coat. The muted sky and the rich red PEI soil make the warm coppery browns of their fur stand out.

It was a quiet, tender moment on a miserable day, and it's become one of my favourite shots.

Wonder where I get some of my cooking skills from? 👀❤️🍞

Well, take a look at my mom’s homemade bread!

She made these beautiful loaves this morning, and let me tell you… they turned out AMAZING! 😍 So soft, fluffy, and absolutely delicious with a little butter!

What makes this bread even more special is that my grandmother taught my mother how to make it. And one day, it’ll be my turn to learn and carry on that tradition. ❤️

Three generations, one family recipe, and a whole lot of love!

And stay tuned because Mom and I will eventually be getting into the kitchen together to share some traditional Acadian dishes, including râpure and pâté!

Today I’m taking a little moment outside the kitchen to celebrate someone so special to me—my firstborn, Cordell! Happy 30th birthday! 🎉❤️

Cordell, you’re the one who first made me a mom, and that will always hold such a special place in my heart. Watching you grow into the wonderful, amazing young man you are today has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I hope you always know how proud I am of you and how deeply you are loved.

Thirty years of loving you, cheering you on, and being grateful that I get to be your mother. No matter how many birthdays come and go, you will always be my baby. 🥹❤️

As you enter this new decade, I wish you happiness, love, laughter, and so many reasons to feel proud of the life you’re building. I love you more than words could ever say.

Everyone, please help me wish my son Cordell a happy 30th birthday! 🎂🥳
