Finally- the photos are in ⭐️ 🏆 📸

We were proud to bring home the award for Exterior Renovation over $50 000 for a project that included full siding, a composite deck, and stonework. It’s one we put a lot of hard work into, so it was great to see it recognized!

One of the best parts of the night was having some of our crew there to celebrate with us. They worked hard on this project, and getting to share the evening with them, celebrate their work, and be part of the home builders community together made it that much more special- we honestly would not be where we are to today without our amazing crew. 👏

It was also a fun night hosting the awards as President of CHBA-NL. I’m proud to be part of an industry with so many talented people, and it was great to celebrate alongside everyone!

Thanks to our crew, trades, CHBA-NL and everyone who helped bring this project together. And congratulations to all the winners! 🍻

This is a full-time, year-round position, with the opportunity for increased compensation based on experience and skill level.

Our projects are located throughout St. John’s and surrounding areas, so this is not a position with one fixed work location. Applicants must be comfortable travelling between active job sites as projects progress.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and understands the level of finish expected in residential renovations.

What we’re looking for:

Experience with residential painting and plastering

Drywall repairs, patching, sanding and finishing

Prep work, priming and professional paint finishes

Ability to work independently and manage your work efficiently

Reliable and comfortable moving between job sites

Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation

Ability to work well as part of a larger renovation team

Light handyman and repair abilities are a definite asset

What we offer:

This one went from a dated builder-grade bathroom to a bright, functional space with custom cabinetry, new countertops, full-height storage, new tile throughout, updated fixtures, and accessibility features that blend right into the design.

Same footprint.
Same window.

This kitchen renovation completely transformed the heart of this home.

We removed the heavy oak cabinetry and outdated finishes, opening the space with a fresh new layout featuring custom cabinetry in a beautiful muted green, quartz countertops, a farmhouse sink, floating white oak shelves, updated lighting, and a stunning herringbone vinyl plank floor that ties everything together.

Every renovation is about more than just new finishes—it's about creating a space that works better for the homeowners and one they'll enjoy for years to come.

We 💙 a backyard upgrade right in time for the nice weather.. (hopefully)

The original pressure-treated deck had served its purpose, but the homeowners were looking for something more durable, lower maintenance, and better suited to Newfoundland's weather. We removed the existing deck boards and railings and upgraded the entire space with new composite decking and modern aluminum railings.

Now this family can spend more time enjoying their deck and less time maintaining it☀️

The stairs are the first thing you see when you walk into a home—so they should set the tone.

This space went from dark and dated to a bright, clean entryway with all new materials. New treads, new risers, new railings, and updated spindles—nothing refinished, everything built fresh.

We also replaced the entry tile, tying everything together so the whole space feels intentional the second you walk in.

Now, instead of blending in, this entryway makes a statement.

We knew going into this one that it wasn’t going to be straightforward. Between the floor joists, layout, and that corner, a curbless shower here was always going to take some real planning.

To make it work properly, we opened up the floor, reworked the structure, and adjusted the plumbing to get the slope and drainage exactly right. This is the kind of work you never see once it’s finished — but it’s what makes or breaks a curbless shower.

The end result is a clean, seamless space that looks simple — but there’s nothing simple about how it was built.

Before ➡️ After

This bathroom renovation wasn’t just about updating the look… it was about planning ahead. We reworked the layout to make it more functional, safer, and better suited for aging in place.

The old tub/shower combo is gone, replaced with a clean, low-threshold walk-in shower and glass enclosure — easier access now, and even more important down the road.

We also incorporated a stacked washer/dryer to keep everything on one level, reducing the need for stairs and making day-to-day living that much simpler.

Finished off with:
✔️ New vanity with more usable storage
✔️ Bright, clean finishes to open up the space
✔️ Updated lighting + fixtures
✔️ Layout designed for comfort and accessibility

This is the kind of renovation that doesn’t just look better — it works better for years to come.

Last week was a busy one for my role as CHBA NL President — getting out, representing the industry, and connecting with people across the province.

From attending the CNA Annual Awards Ceremony and celebrating the incredible work happening across Newfoundland and Labrador, to a great luncheon alongside the Paradise Mayor, and our CHBA luncheon where we heard from Minister Wall — it was a strong reminder of how important collaboration is between our industry and government.

A week full of connection, conversation, and continuing to push residential construction forward
