What do flooring specs actually mean? 🤔 When you're comparing floors, the spec sheet can feel like another language. Here's what the four most common terms tell you:
1️⃣ Thickness: The measurement from the bottom to the top surface of a flooring plank, including all its layers. 2️⃣ Core: what's inside, such as multiply wood, HDF, WPC or SPC 3️⃣ Wear layer: the top layer that takes the daily wear 4️⃣ Finish: the coating that protects the surface

A great laminate floor starts with what's underneath. Before any laminate floor goes down, your installer should check that the subfloor is:
🧹 Clean: debris can cause bumps and squeaks 💧 Dry: a moisture check comes first 📏 Level: uneven spots put strain on the joints
