🐝 The Art of Candle Making: It Starts With the Wick! 🕯️

Wicking candles is an important part of the candle-making process. While many candle makers choose convenient, premade wicks, I prefer to make and prepare my own.

It’s definitely a time-consuming process, but I believe the little details matter!

Here’s what goes into preparing each wick:

✨ First, I cut the wick to the appropriate length for the mould or vessel I’m using.

✨ Next, I melt pure beeswax and coat the wick to give it the rigidity needed when placing it into vessels such as vintage teacups.

✨ Then, I thread the wick through a wick stabilizer, attach a wick sticker, and carefully secure it to the bottom of the vessel.

And just like that, it’s ready for the beeswax to be poured!

It’s a lot of little steps before the finished candle comes to life, but that’s part of the beauty of making small-batch, handmade beeswax candles.

Every candle at Beecycled Creations starts with care, patience, and a little extra attention to detail. 🐝💛

🕯️ Why Burn Testing Every Candle Matters! 🐝💛

At Beecycled Creations, I don’t just pour a candle and call it finished. Every candle needs to be burn tested to make sure the wick, wax, vessel and overall design are working together properly.

Take my Couples Embrace candle as an example. During its test burn, I noticed that the wick had been positioned incorrectly, which caused the candle to burn unevenly. 🔥

Instead of letting it go, I corrected the wick placement and tested it again.

✨ The result? A beautiful, even burn! ✨

This is exactly why burn testing is such an important part of handmade candle making. It helps me identify issues before a candle makes its way to you and allows me to fine-tune each candle for the best possible burning experience.

Every small-batch beeswax candle I make gets the attention it deserves — because quality, craftsmanship and your enjoyment matter. 💚

Have you ever wondered how much testing goes into a handmade candle before it reaches your home?

Sometimes you just need to step away… and sometimes you find your way back. 🐝💛

After a long break from candle making, I’ve finally found my way back to Beecycled Creations.

And honestly? It feels wonderful.

The wax is melting again, the wicks are being cut, new moulds are being tested, and those first freshly poured beeswax tealights are already taking shape. 🕯️✨

I’m experimenting with some new candle designs alongside the classic handcrafted style that Beecycled Creations has always been about.

This is just the beginning of the comeback—and I have so many ideas for what’s coming next.

Thank you for being here and following along. 🐝

Beecycled Creations is back. Let’s make some candles! 🕯️💛
