We share plenty of finished renovations, but there’s a lot happening on site before we get to those final photos.

From demolition and prep work to installation and finishing touches, each stage comes with its own decisions, adjustments, and details to work through.

Here’s a little look at the work that goes into bringing a renovation together.

Swipe to see where this Southgate kitchen started.

This 8-week townhouse renovation came with a few challenges behind the scenes. The clients wanted to open up the space, but once the project was reviewed, the team discovered a load-bearing wall and a heat run that needed to be worked around safely.

Instead of forcing the original plan, our renovators found a creative solution: adding length to the peninsula for more seating, converting a storage area into a coffee bar, and adding floating shelves above the sink for extra charm and function.

The result is a kitchen that feels brighter, more spacious, and better suited to the family’s everyday life.

Because a great renovation is not only about the final look. It is about finding the right solution for the home, the structure, and the people living in it.

Swipe to see how we’re imagining the space.

The first image shows this kitchen just after the demo phase, as we prepare for electrical and the next steps in the renovation process. The second image brings the vision forward with the cabinetry render inserted, giving a look at where the design is headed before the build continues.

This stage is where planning matters most. It’s the point where layout, function, and finish details all start coming together so every decision made behind the walls supports the finished result our clients will live with every day.

We love being able to show not just where a project is, but where it’s going.

The finished photos are always worth sharing, but the process is where so much of the story lives.

Before a renovation feels polished, there are days of prep, planning, demolition, site protection, tools on site, problem-solving, installation, adjustments, and finishing work that bring everything together.

This reel shows a glimpse of that in-between stage: the part where the space is changing, the details are being worked through, and the final result is starting to take shape.

Because a beautiful renovation does not happen all at once. It is built step by step, by people who care about getting the details right.

There is a lot that happens before a space is ready for its final reveal.

This is the stage of a renovation that does not always get shown: the scaffolding, the prep work, the open walls, the unfinished floors, the lighting rough-ins, and the careful steps that need to happen before everything starts to feel complete.

At Towne Renovations, we know that the details behind the scenes matter just as much as the finished result. Every clean line, smooth wall, proper fit, and polished finish starts here.
Before the after comes the work.

A main floor doesn’t have to become one completely open room to feel connected.

By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, this split-level home gained better sightlines, more natural light and a gathering space that feels connected to the living room below.

The kitchen, dining area and living room still have their own purpose, but they no longer feel separated from one another. Now, everyday moments can move naturally from cooking to dining to relaxing.

That is what thoughtful renovation is really about: creating a home that feels easier to live in.

Behind every finished renovation is a lot of work you do not always see.

It is the careful measuring, the problem-solving, the prep, the adjustments, and the skilled hands that bring each piece together. Our contractors bring knowledge, care, and attention to detail into every stage of the process because when we are working in someone’s home, the details matter.

A renovation is not just about the final reveal. It is about respecting the space, doing the work properly, and making sure every step supports a result our clients can feel confident in.

That is the behind-the-scenes work we are proud of.

There is nothing better than hearing how much a client loves their finished space.

We are so grateful that this client took the time to share her experience working with the Towne Renovations team and how happy she is with her new teal ensuite. This project was especially meaningful because we had previously worked with her on her kitchen, which was featured in one of our commercials! Getting to return to her home, catch up, and help bring another space to life made this renovation feel even more special.

Thank you for trusting us again and for sharing such kind words about your experience. We are so grateful to be invited back into homes we have had the privilege of working on before.

A beautiful kitchen is never just about the finished look. It’s also about all the thoughtful decisions and behind-the-scenes work that make the space function beautifully every day. In this project, that meant updates to electrical, plumbing, backsplash, lighting, the kitchen window, door swing, island power, and the finishing details that brought everything together.

From the farmhouse sink and bridge faucet to the wall sconces and refreshed layout details, every element was chosen with both style and purpose in mind. Let us take care of the details so you can enjoy the beautiful end result.
