SNEAK PEEK

Grounded Contracting has been knocking the lighting out on this premium basement development - and believe it or not, there's still more to come.

The feature ceilings, custom bar and waterfall countertop from Alberta Granite & Quartz Ltd are really starting to bring this space together.

Big upgrade to this front entrance.

We rebuilt the porch with a larger layout, composite decking, angled stairs, black aluminum railing, new house numbers and mailbox, plus 19 integrated riser lights to finish it off.

A much cleaner, more functional entrance with a completely different curb appeal.

Two renovation projects. Two very different transformations.

This week we’re checking in on a high-end basement renovation in Sherwood Park and a major exterior renovation in Edmonton.

The basement is nearing completion with walnut cabinetry, a custom w**e bar, tiled fireplace, LED lighting, shower glass and new flooring.

In Edmonton, we replaced a badly settled concrete landing with a new composite landing on screw piles, complete with integrated riser lighting.

Two decks. Down to the framing. Back up in composite.

Bob & Sharon brought us in on a cost-plus basis for both the rear deck and the front entry. Full pressure-treated framing replacement, new blocking throughout, and joists swapped where needed — then composite decking and black aluminum railing over top.

Anything that didn't meet code got corrected along the way, and the whole thing came in just under budget.
