Do you work in the residential construction industry and want to be a part of a group who not only meets to talk about industry related issues, but also knows how valuable fun networking events can be?

This month in Sussex, we held an axe throwing networking session and it was a huge hit. Industry from all across the central and southern parts of the Province came to network with peers and try their hand at axe throwing. Congratulations to our 1st place winner Bridget Stewart with MCL Construction and our 2nds place finisher Heather Attoe with B&N Flooring.

Last week, CHBA-NB member and Women in Construction Council Chair, Laurie Cole, took the stage as keynote speaker at the Women in Construction Conference in Dieppe, NB, and made us proud.

Laurie shared stories from her personal journey as a woman in a male-dominated field, including the struggles and successes she faced in building New View Designs by Laurie Cole into what it is today. She also offered inspiring advice for women looking to follow in her footsteps.

Well done, Laurie! You are a terrific role model for women in our industry 🙌
