It's not often I work in brand new homes anymore. Im usually renovating established homes so this one brought me back to my kitchen cabinetry days of building and installing in new subdivisions.
My latest client had just moved from Ottawa to a senior subdivision where other members of her family live and was in a pickle with her kitchen. Her builder did not want to take on an Ikea kitchen, and she was having a hard time finding someone reliable, that is until we chatted.
Her plan was finalized and product already delivered. I met with her to confirm dimensions/things will work and also made some change recommendations which she was happy with.
This is the finished kitchen!
All base cabinets/pantry cabinets are high gloss grey-brown. Every cabinet aside from the sink/prep sink/corner has drawers in it, to the tune of a whopping 37 drawers in this kitchen.
Matching coloured panels/kick plate were installed. Moulding to the ceiling is slab flat, which I had to make from off cut panel parts as Ikea does not offer a matching moulding for this colour.
All wall cabinets are matt white with matching colour panels, fillers, and moulding to ceiling. All doors/drawer fronts have an integrated handle.
This was a huge project but love how it turned out. And happy I was able to help a new client get a little closer to living in their new home.
